How does the revised bet go?
Gregg loses
10pm was Gregg's typical closing time, and Victoria acted as an alarm. She howled in laughter when it hit 10. "You should've just forfeited when you had the chance!"
Gregg slumped, looking to the ground on defeat. "Okay. You win. I'll work for you tomorrow." He hated those words. Maybe she would forget the rest of the bet and it would be a normal shift tomorrow...
But her wicked grin said otherwise. "Be at my shop at dawn. I'll have your uniform waiting for you." She snickered as she walked away.
"And don't try to back out of this deal. Or things will get much worse for you." Victoria noted in a serious tone.
Gregg closed up his shop and left. He had a bit of a walk to get home, and it was right past Victoria's shop: Bella Bonnie's.
Gregg eyed the currently closed shop. There were signs all around it! They were having a massive sale! That's why no one came to his shop! Victoria set him up for failure!
Gregg was furious as he headed home.
