Are Crab People Edible?

Goma tosses the horn to Isalia who nods and blows it, energizing Goma, Yulia and Cherchiel. The horn despite having the same effect as Energize doesn't seem to count as a support spell and still affects Yulia. Goma focuses on a specific crab person, with an arm that appears to be an elongated eel and uses Puppet to turn him against the others. Meanwhile as they begin to fight the controlled one, Yulia uses Energize on Goma and Cherchiel. The crab people quickly tear apart the puppeteered one and continue their advance, but it had bought some time and he had managed to injure a few of the others before being gruesomely dispatched. Yulia summons a blizzard, but it seems extremely ineffective, not even the buffeting snow seems to slow them much. An icicle similarly, hits and breaks against them with no effect, the lightning strike however is extremely effective. The first one hit lights up immediately and collapses twitching grotesquely on the ground after a few seconds. Some of the crab people reach the defensive line Cherchiel and Goma have tried to create. Even with Energize Goma isn't much of a match against the creatures and her dagger was incapable of piercing their armor. Cherchiel fared much better, her divine strength along with being energized by the horn and the energize spell let her stand toe to toe with the creatures and her fists seemed very effective against their armor. Cracking shells and scales wherever she hit. She couldn't take them down like this, but she held them off.

Goma meanwhile was grabbed in a crab claw and the wielder of said claw tried to squeeze, crushing her, but it was like trying to crush an iron bar. Goma struggled regardless trying to get free from the vice grip, her legs kicking wildly as she was lifted. The creature grew annoyed at his inability to crush her and instead slammed her against the ground knocking the wind out of her and releasing her just in time to get electrocuted with a lightning strike. Yulia fired off lightning strikes rapidly now, especially as the crab people recognized the threat and began swarming towards Yulia. Cherchiel tried her best to block them, but she couldn't stop all of them and Goma was down for the count, Isalia moved to protect Yulia, but ran into the same problem as Goma. Her sword couldn't pierce their armor and she lacked even the energize effect of the horn or spell. A crab person easily swatted her aside and she fell onto the ground with a pained grunt. The triumphant crab person approached Yulia, only to realize he was the last one left. It hadn't taken long to get past Isalia, but firing lightning strikes didn't take long either. In the time it had taken for him to knock Isalia aside, Yulia had finished frying all of his allies. He stood alone in front of her, Cherchiel moving behind him to strike if needed as Yulia channeled lightning into her hands.

The creature struck out to the last, trying to lunge at her and getting struck in the process, his entire body cooked in an instant by the lightning. As he collapsed Yulia carefully made her way over to Isalia and Goma, both were winded, but unharmed and Isalia got up under her own power. Goma needed to be helped up, but was okay afterwards.

The crab people were dealt with and it was time to move forward. The only seeming way forward, being the rickety boat. None of them trusted it, but it seemed like their only choice. There wasn't much room in the boat as all four got on, Goma ending up sat in Cherchiel's lap. The boat moved under it's own power, unmooring itself and then floating out onto the stormy sea. As soon as it was a slight way away from shore it began to sink and immediately the entire party began to panic, but as it dipped below the waves, everything changed. The boat slid under the water in a bubble of air, it's occupants safe and it moved now like a submarine. Ahead of them they could see beneath the waves a desolate and ominous ruin. Seemingly an ancient temple, done in a greek style with fancy columns. Frescoes on it's front depicted men and woman being devoured by massive serpents in various horrible ways.

The boat moved to the front entrance of the temple and then collapsed onto the ancient marble floor, splintering into broken wood and depositing its occupants roughly onto the floor. The inside of the temple was surprisingly free of water and had breathable air. Sconces on the walls were lit with a flickering and eerie blue flame that cast the entire place in an ethereal light. At the end of the temple sat a throne and Levateinn sat upon the throne, her legs crossed and she watched as the four women got up and faced her.

Two massive snakes with jade scales coiled around her throne and watched the group with obvious hostility. Each of them was about a meter in diameter and their length was impossible to tell at a glance especially as they coiled around each other and the throne. On a dais behind the throne, Cherchiel's armor, shield and spear were carefully positioned.

"You know... It gets very lonely down here. With only my snakes and those parasitic monsters you fought on the shore for company. Ash was the only one who ever visited me. It was just for sex of course. Ash fucked all the other Archdemons if they allowed it but it was still nice having him around... Having anyone around. There are cults that worship Ash you know, they'll worship you once you take your throne and there are those who worship each of the others, but no one worships me. No one cares about me and you took away the only person who ever even visited me," Levateinn said as she stood up from her throne and a trident appeared in her hands, the trident was covered in rust and barnacles and looked ill cared for, but it's prongs were still razor sharp as she pointed it towards Yulia, "I won't kill you. The abyss wants you to replace Ash and I want the same. Once you've taken your throne, you'll be the one who visits me and we'll have a great time," she says, "but just because I won't kill you... Doesn't mean I won't kill them," she says and points the trident first at Goma, then Cherchiel and finally Isalia.

"Your little friends and lovers... Once I've beat you... I'll make you watch as I feed them to my pets," she promises, "of course... I am under strict orders not to hurt you unless you attack me first, so you can still run away if you want. Go to the abyss and take the deal and I won't be allowed to hurt your little friends after all..." she explains with a sigh, her trident moving to rest against her shoulder, "I hope you don't though. I really really want to hurt them," she adds.
