Does the tiny Kelly dodge the magician?
Yes!
Kelly gasped, his foot getting caught on his former belt as he tried to back away from Lazaro, falling unflatteringly onto his backside as the magician’s hand swooped down for him.
Lazaro scowled, scooping up his robes to squat down to seize the little squire, but Kelly wasn’t going to stick around to see what he would do if he was caught.
Kelly sprinted forward, dashing under the wizard’s swirling robes and between his legs.
“Eh? What? Get back here you slippery-!” Lazaro started to raise his wand to cast a new spell but Kelly’s hand caught on the fabric he was dashing through and that tug was enough to send the gargantuan sorcerer falling backwards onto HIS backside.
Kelly didn’t stick around to gloat as Lazaro cursed as he flailed to get up, his wand fallen from his hand. Kelly broke off into a run, back towards the gardens. The way he was now, there was no way he could take the magician in a fight. He had to escape! Hopefully the spell would wear off, but if not he’d need to find someone who could undo it.
“Little rapscallion! Get back here!”
Kelly swallowed. It seemed the irate sorcerer was back on his feet which meant he needed to lose him, right now!
He cleared the door to the lush garden, jumping down the steps and diving into the bushes.
“Blast! Where are you…?” He could hear Lazaro mutter to himself as he slid to a stop at the open pathway to the garden. Kelly didn’t bother slowing down.
He wouldn’t be safe until he found a proper place to hide.
