The Universe is not on their side...

Max squirmed as Victoria poured the tomato juice down her back, a shiver of disgust running down her spine as the other girl picked up a scrub brush and began to roughly scrub her.

"Ow! Not so hard!" Max yelped as she looked over her shoulder with a glare. "Are you trying to rip my skin off?!"

"Well, excuse me for trying to help so we can get out of this mess faster!" Victoria snapped back with a glare of her own. "A mess that was all because of you, I may add, little Miss Time Traveler!"

"I don't travel back in time, I rewind it! And I told you last night, the skunk sprayed us - thanks to your screaming, before I could even -"

"Will you two shut the hell up?!" Chloe hissed through her teeth as she and Rachel nervously looked around the neighborhood. "I'm sorry, but we're gonna have an even worse time if one of my neighbors catches us!"

"Ugh! Fine!" Victoria groaned as she began to scrub Max again, softly this time as she quietly snapped, "Happy?!"

Max sighed as she turned back around, letting Victoria scrub her backside. After she was done, Victoria picked up one of the ketchup bottles and squeezed it into both their hair like one would do with a bottle of shampoo. Getting the general idea, Max lathered the red, gunky condiment into her hair as Victoria did the same. As this was much different than actual shampoo, however, both girls kept their eyes closed as the ketchup ran down their faces.

Blindly, the two girls felt around for something to rinse with, Max grabbing one of the jugs of tomato juice and fumbling with the lid. Squinting her eyes, the girl poured half of the jug over Victoria's head before closing her eyes again and pouring the other half over her own.

"Guys! Backyard! Now!" Rachel quietly yelled as she and Chloe bolted towards the gate.

In their blind and panicked state, Max and Victoria instantly rose to their feet and tried to make a break for it... Only to immediately crash into each other and fall back into the kiddie pool with a splash, Max landing on top of Victoria...

Their lips meeting one another as their eyes shot wide open.
