A Royal

In the middle of the field, of destroyed burning rubble, rests a throne. The throne is made of burning debris and rubble. Sitting on it is a creature of flames. It looks like a giant man, at least seven feet tall when standing. It has a crown of fire on its head and a massive sword engulfed in fire resting on the side of the throne. I Observe it and tell Hino and Myla what I see.

"A King?" Myla asks and I nod.

"That's what Observe says." I reply.

"Kings are part of the Royal Elementals. They're the strongest of the Royals in close combat. But it's not as tough from range. However, it's too fast to be able to keep some distance." Hino says and I nod.

"So, should we just blast it again and switch to melee when it gets close?" I ask and they think about it.

"Yeah, I think we'll be fine. Eric and I will be fine with defense." Myla says holding up her shield. "Do you think you could manage to dodge Hino?"

"Yeah, it's strong but I should be able to dodge its sword. But its spells are a different matter." Hino answers.

"I could Swap with you maybe two or three times. That is if I don't use any magic." I tell her and she nods.

"Okay. Then Myla, and I will attack it with magic from here. Eric, save your mana but get ready to intercept him." Hino says and we nod. She starts casting her water fish spell and Myla starts on as well. Hers is a soccer ball-sized ball of light that slowly forms into a spear. She fires her moments after Hino does. The Flame King notices them but is unable to dodge them.

The King stands up from his throne and picks up his sword. I run ahead of the girls and stop about ten feet away. The King starts running at me as the girls fire another volley.

The King bulldozes through the spells and reaches me in just a few seconds. So soon that the girls stop shooting spells and move up behind me. I take out my wings to jump above his blade as he swings it wide. I don't want to test if Fire Immunity will work against the sword. I fly directly over its left shoulder and cut into it as pass.

I land behind it and see Myla running up to it from between its legs. She jumps as a bright light envelops its front. If he wasn't there to shield my eyes I'd have to cover them.

I see Myla land between his legs, having cut down from his lower chest to his crotch. I see the tip of her blade, still enveloped in water, poke out from where his dick would be before leaving his body. I feel mine tense up and move my hands to it. Fortunately, she doesn't notice as the King's body falls forward and she jumps back to not get crushed. I walk up and store the item away before turning to the girls.

"Are you two good?" I ask and they each nod.

"I feel like having you around is cheating." Hino says and I laugh. We leave the Dungeon after I've swapped into my clothes. They've put their hairpins enchanted with illusion magic back in. I see Scott waiting for us when we arrive.

"Are you ready to go?" He asks and we all say yes. We leave without incident and get in the car. We, well Myla and Hino, tell Scott what happened. Once we arrive we get out and I see Ramia waiting.

"Y-you're back. Did e-everything go okay?" She asks and I nod.

"What are you doing out here?" I ask her.

"I w-wanted to go home. W-with you." She says blushing and I smile.

"I'll see you girls later." I say to Myla and Hino.

"We'll see you later." Myla replies and Hino nods. I take Ramia's hand and enter my Domain. Once we enter I see Gaia, Luna, and Asami at the table. They're eating some snacks from a bowl and talking. They turn to us when they hear us.

"How'd it go?" Asami asks.

"Great!" Ramia answers and I nod. I quickly summarize what happened.

"I'm so happy for you!" Luna says while hugging Ramia. Ramia thanks her and Gaia grabs my hand.

"Eric, did you get a chance to meet with Verona?" She asks and I shake my head no.

"I was going to do it after meeting the guilds. But I didn't think it'd take that long. I'll do it tomorrow after school though." I tell her and she thanks me. Asami stands up and says she's going to get started on dinner. Luna turns to me excited after she leaves.

"Alpha, let's spar!" She says while pulling on me and I sigh.

"Okay, but only once." I say and she nods.

"Hang on, I want to watch." Gaia says before following us. Ramia heads upstairs as we head out. We get outside and go to the circle they've drawn for sparing. I decide to not use my claws or horns, but I do take out my boots. I know her armor is easy for her to move in. So I want the Agility boost they give me. Luna changes into her armor and joins me as I swap to mine. I use Observe on her, mainly because it's been a while.
