Time For Math!

I tell Myla and Hino bye as we enter the school. We somehow made it on time but are alone. The rest of the students are in class. Myla hugs me and I smile. I hug her back and kiss her. Hino hugs and kisses me as soon as Myla lets go. I hear Myla giggle and I smile internally. Hino pulls away and I pull them both in.

"What did I do to deserve you two." I say and they each blush and smile. Before the girls can say anything the bell rings and Myla smiles.

"Way to go flatterer, you made us late." She says sarcastically.

"Hey, I'm not the one who wanted the hug." I say and she smiles. "Well, come on you two. Let's go pay for Myla's greed together!" I say before she can respond and Hino laughs. We go our separate ways and I go to my math class. I quickly apologize to Ms. Robin for being late. I sit down and start Meditating. This time I want a better fire spell. After seeing the new Elven magic I have I started thinking. My mana pool or max MP has increased so I can handle it. So I want a high-cost, high-damaging fire spell. I also want another Ice spell but, unlike my Draconic Ice, I want this one to be a ranged attack. It doesn't feel like long until my phone starts vibrating, letting me know class is almost over. I open my notifications and read them quickly.

New Spell: Flaming Maw Lvl 1

Flaming Maw is a high-tier attack spell. It's considered one of the four strongest fire spells that humans can use. The spell creates a flaming mask that will chase down a target. It moves quickly and will adjust itself guaranteeing a hit, unless it's blocked. It will crash into the target and engulf them in its flames. It deals (Intelligence × 5) as damage and will set the target on fire. MP Cost: 150

New Spell: Icicle Lance Lvl 1

Icicle Lance lets you create a large icicle in the air. The icicle acts as a throwing lance and will fire itself at your target. The Lance deals your Intelligence as damage and has a chance to freeze determined by your Luck and Wisdom stats. MP Cost: 30.

I smile, more than happy with the results. I go to my History class and Elisabeth beats me there. She apologizes for not being here yesterday. We sit down and Mr. Fields addresses the class.

"Okay class listen up! As you already know, your Spring Break starts the day after tomorrow. So if you need any extra time with your Midterms I'll be here on Thursday, so come up and let me know. DO NOT, I repeat, do not just show up on Thursday unannounced. Make sure to let me know today or tomorrow after class. Now get to work." He says and the students all get started on their projects. Elisabeth and I continue working on ours. I show her what I managed to get done yesterday.

"Thank goodness. I have to come in on Thursday for another class's Midterm. I really needed this. Thank you so much." She says.

"It's fine, but we still have a ways to go." I reply and she nods. We start working and at the end, she smiles.

"We're almost done. I got really lucky with my partner." She says, not in a bad or smug way. I chuckle and we start getting ready to go. The bell rings only a few moments later. "I'll see you tomorrow Eric!" She says with a smile and I nod.

"See you then." I reply before leaving for my metalworking class. I enter and greet Mr. Jones. I take out my mini cabin and get to work. I add the door and finish adding the strips to make it look like wood. After that, I start thinking of what else to add. I immediately facepalm for forgetting the roof. I get started and continue until the bell rings. I get up and feel my phone start vibrating. I grab it and see Myla's calling me. I answer it as I finish packing up my project.

"Hey Myla, what's up?" I ask her.

"Do you have any plans for your free period or lunch Eric?" She asks.

"No, do you need me for something?"

"Yeah, could you join us on the roof?"

"Sure, I'll be there soon." I reply and she thanks me before hanging up. I start climbing up the stairs to the roof. I make a mental note to thank Asami for making my lunches every day. I open the door to the roof and see Hino, Myla, and Liz waiting.

"What's Liz doing here?" I ask, having expected them to want to do a quick study session. Especially since the math Midterms are tomorrow, at least mine is.

"Are you not happy to see me?" Liz asks faking a hurt and offended tone.

"Of course I am, I was just surprised." I reply and she smiles.

"Well, we just wanted to talk. Without anyone else around." Myla says as I sit down next to them.

"What about?" I ask.

"Just some stuff, but first my father asked you to bring Ramia with you when you visit. I don't know why though. But I'd guess they just want to meet her, Elves rarely leave their forests. So they could just want to see another one, especially since she's a member of your guild now." Hino says and I nod.

"Yeah, I'll have Asami ask her for me. I need to get her a phone too." I say before sending Asami a text, asking her to help Ramia get ready. Now that I think about it. This'll be the first time Ramia left my Domain. Well, aside from my apartment where the only bathroom and kitchen are.

"Good, so tell me about that new skill you teased the girls with the other day." Liz says and I smile. I had forgotten I teased them after I got my Soul-Skill.

"Nah, don't feel like it." I say, stumping Liz who just stares at me. "It'll be better to just show you." I continue after a few awkward moments.

"Jerk, you can't tease me when it comes to magic!" Liz says and I smile.

"I think I can. Now give me your arm." I say reaching out.

"Why?" Liz asks suspiciously and I just smile. She hesitantly reaches out and takes my hand. I cast Mana Fusion and send 200 MP to her. Well, I tried to send 200, but I actually sent 207 MP. I see her eyes light up as I let go. She just stares at her hand, which she hasn't moved. "How did you do that?" She asks and I chuckle.

"Wait, what did he do? I didn't see anything happen." Hino asks.

"It's called Mana Fusion. It allows me to send mana from one person to another. But the mana sent fuses with the target. This makes it theirs, which is apparently a big deal. But I've only used this once, outside of practice." I say and Liz grabs my hand.

"Can you take it as well? And can you overcharge?" She asks quickly and I chuckle.

"Yes, I can take it. But I need the consent of both targets. And I can take it from someone and give it to someone else. I can overcharge but It fades away over time." I answer and she smiles wider.

"What other new spells do you have?" She asks excitedly and I sigh.

"Lots, but most of them are attack spells. And I'm not about to fire those off here." I say and she sighs. I spend the rest of the lunch period telling them what I've been up to. As well as what new skills I've learned. However, I conceal Ayashi and Prisma from my tales. I don't want them to know just yet.
