Quicker than expected

True to her word, Sarah was downstairs and ready to leave with more time to spare than you expected, allowing the both of you time to stroll leisurely to school once you were out the door. You had been able to eat a quick breakfast and had passed Sarah her lunch when you grabbed the meals Mom had prepared for you while on the way out.

Sarah was quiet for the first few minutes but you managed to lighten the mood with some general conversation and she went back to her normal self in no time at all. You weren’t sure if she was just nervous while you were still near home or Emma’s house, or even if she was worried about seeing the normal car to pick her up. In either case, she was now happily chatting with you so you didn’t feel the need to worry as you carried on talking.

“Did you spend any more time looking into that journalism course last night?” you asked, wondering if Sarah had checked anything after she had left your room.

“Yep! I’m pretty sure I can meet the grade requirements they listed. I was up pretty late last night just researching. I thought I was getting a massive headache at one point but it went away pretty quickly” Sarah explained, making you flinch at the realisation.

You had thought it had been pretty late by the time you gave Sarah her intelligence upgrade but apparently you had been too eager. You hadn’t heard any strange noises from her room after you had activated it but it looked like she was able to just grin and bear it. You felt bad about causing her some unnecessary pain but it did let you know that after the few upgrades Sarah had had, she was now in a position where she could handle the effects.

Oblivious to your thoughts, Sarah had continued talking and you managed to listen in again before she finished.

“...those are the ones I’ll be fine with. The only exam I think I’ll get stuck on is what I want to study tomorrow with you and Emma if that's okay with the both of you?” Sarah asked, hoping you would agree.

“I’m okay with that but we can speak to Emma later to make sure she's good with that. I doubt she’ll have any issues though.

You got a smile out of Sarah and she now seemed to be in good enough of a mood for you to ask a question that had been on your mind.

“So you said you were up late last night?” you asked.

“Yep” she replied quickly

“So when did you get up this morning?” you questioned, not getting as quick of an answer when you asked her that.

“...You know the walls are pretty thin right? I don’t know about Lucy when her room is further away from yours but Mom was being pretty loud” Sarah admitted with a blush.

“Ah… Well she did seem to be enjoying herself, even though it was supposed to be a punishment” you said back, being honest with your sister given what she had heard.

“...Does Mom sleep in your room a lot?” Sarah asked after a moment, curiosity getting the better of her.

“That was the first time actually. You might not believe this but Mom seemed to be sleepwalking. She just came into my room and lay down next to me. The punishment was supposed to be about her sleepwalking and coming into my room without permission but it was more of an excuse to mess around with her, to be honest” you replied, skipping the part about the KDK’s influence over Mom’s decision.

“You're really starting to change things like you said huh” Sarah said, being just as surprised at the change as you were.

“I think it's for the better at least. Think of it this way, if Mom and Lucy are going along with my plans, then it’s only a matter of time before me, you and Emma can spend the day without any interruptions. They might even join in if everything goes as planned” you theorised.

Sarah seemed to imagine that scenario and while it was your dream to have everyone submit to you, Sarah wouldn’t have the same hopeful vision of the future. With her kink, you were sure her dream scenario was similar to your own and you could have gone into some extra detail to match what she would prefer but keeping it more generalised would let her fill in the gaps with details you couldn’t possibly get right.

The silence lasted a minute or two while you walked until Sarah realised she had been daydreaming for longer than she expected.

“Err yeah I see what you mean” she blurted out, trying to act like everything was normal.

“Just let me worry about the future for now and you can just enjoy the benefits that I cook up for the both of us. If you have any suggestions though then I’m all ears. Something you wanna do with Emma tomorrow or just something you wouldn’t mind being able to do around the house without Mom getting mad.” you revealed, wanting to keep Sarah happy and on your side.

“Anything?” she nervously asked back.

“I can’t say with certainty that I’ll be able to do it but I’ll certainly give it a shot” you replied.

Again, Sarah went off into fantasy land and you expected her to say something relating to tomorrow afternoon with Emma. You definitely weren’t opposed to the two of them getting closer, both physically and emotionally, and you knew Sarah had the same opinion, making you that much more surprised when she didn’t immediately make her request about Emma.

“ I want to… No nevermind” Sarah responded, her cheeks flushed as she changed her mind.

“You could say anything right now and I wouldn’t judge. Trust me, we know a lot of each other's secrets at this point and I haven’t run away have I?” you said trying to reassure her.

It seemed to work as far as you could tell as Sarah turned her line of sight back to you with a determined look before she took a quick glance around to make sure you were actually alone.

“...I want to go on a date with you” Sarah revealed.

You…hadn’t expected that. Your improved brain still seemed to need time to process that but while you were doing that on your own, Sarah seemed to take your silence negatively.

“I knew I shouldn’t have..” She started to mumble, starting to pick up her pace to get out of the situation.

You grabbed her arm before she could but you feared doing anything further in public to reassure her. Hoping your next words would get through to her.

“Wait. I want to go on a date too. It just… took me by surprise is all. There's a few things I wanna talk about first but do you still want to stay and talk it over?” you asked, waiting for her to respond.
