With a heavy sigh you shake your head, one hand idly fiddling with the brim of your hat as you speak, “I’d ask if you’re joking but I’ve learned to take all of the surprising things in my life as fact instead of jokes…”

With you final quip spoken you enter the meeting hall with Toshiro-chan in tow, both of you bowing toward you grandfather in respect before you take you assigned seats for the captains meeting. As with every meeting you Grandfather speaks up, his booming voice calling attention and commanding respect as he speaks, “Good morning, I would like to be the first one to extend a welcome to Genryusai-Taicho after being cleared of his supposed crimes against Seireitei.”

“Heh, I’ll second that,” a large and imposing Kenpachi speaks up, his head bowed slightly in respect as he grins, “I won’t lie and tell yah that I believed in you from the beginning…but damn if you didn’t prove me otherwise Genryusai.”

“Sir?” you question, your eyebrow raising in curiosity and confusion at Kenpachi’s rather shining amount of respect.

“Kenpachi-Taicho is referring to you ability to gain the alliance of those two Hollows from Aizen,” this time it is Byakuya who speaks up, his regal appearance and unnerving amount of calm calling you attention as he continues, “They were able to give us a great deal of information about Aizen’s plans and the true purpose of the device he had sent to his former Lieutenant. By combining their knowledge with the knowledge the other Hollows you recruited have already supplied we have constructed ways of protecting ourselves from future attacks as well as giving us an advantage in further attacks against Aizen himself.”

“Yes, and while we had some difficulties concerning Central and Komamura’s ‘radical’ plans for our leadership as well as some internal…mistakes,” Ukitake speaks, her now feminine features turning to an unfazed Mayuri with a slight glare, “we have become stronger through it.”

“Er…well thank you,” you speak up, you head bowing with appreciation and more than a little embarrassment, “I’m sorry that this happened but I hope that the outcome was worth the initial trouble.”

“As do I Genryusai-Taicho,” you grandfather speaks up, his fingers combing through his vast beard as he speaks, “especially considering the disturbing actions of Komamura and Central 46 these times do seem to be very difficult indeed.”

“I actually have something concerning Central that I would like to address,” you speak up, your voice ringing through the chambers with a seriousness and severity that causes many to have wear worried expressions, “It appears that in the course of my recent travels I’ve discovered more than a few things about the Spirit King and my position as a Deadman Shinigami…” With that you launch into the full tale about your journeys through the worlds, about you discovery of the Spirit Kings possession of your urn, of Urahara’s unwilling servitude to the all knowing King, of you travels to the Hellsing world, of the ancient spirits trapped within the urn, and all the way up to the moment you entered the room.

This of course is met with stone cold silence, every eyes looking upon you with a critical and almost unbelieving eye. With a thick sigh you finish you story, your hand idly caressing Kagehime as well as Katen Kyokotsu as you speak, “And here I am…as you might understand from my position and the stakes placed within this I find it is imperative that I contact the Spirit King, especially considering the fact that he hasn’t been in contact with Urahara or anyone else for quite some time.”

“Genryusai-Taicho,” you grandfather speaks up, his muscles tensing as he controls himself from yelling out loud, “as you very well you know that is impossible and even if it was…as the Gotei 13 we would be required to stop you.”

Seeing the steel like hardness in your grandfathers eyes you nod, your own gaze turning strong as you speak up once more, “That is true and I understand it but as the Deadman Shinigami and agent of balance for this dimension and all of creation the equilibrium in this world is in disarray and I feel the key to understanding it is to contact the Spirit King, come hell or high water…”
