"A deal, you say." Kazex pondered. "I don't know what you could possibly offer to me that I couldn't just take from you by force, but I'll hear you out."

Rosita straightened her posture and tried to make herself as dignified as possible despite being naked in front of an equally naked goblin. "I am the Oldest Daughter of the Lord of Ewriwyth and the first in-line to inherit the lordship. I am no common girl; I have much more to offer other than being mere breeding stock."

"Oh, and what would that be?" Kazex mused. "I sense no great magical power nor skill-at-arms from you."

"That may be so," Rosita said. "But I do have my birthright, the Land of Ewriwyth, and I offer it to you. Agree to my deal and you would be rewarded the legal right to rule over all of Ewriwyth, from the Enchanted Forest and to the Qelesian River, and to do with it and its people as you will."

"An enticing offer," Kazex replied. "But how will you give me this huge stretch of land?"

"It's simple," Rosita answered confidently. "Take me as your wife instead of a simple breeding slave and you, and your children by me, will lawfully have the rights over my inheritance as per the law."

"That simple, huh?" Kazex said. "And what would you want in exchange?"

"Revenge," Rosita answered with an intensity that aroused Kazex. "I wish to know who plotted to have me killed and lead me towards this fate. I want to see them suffer for what has happened to me!"
