After the Storm.

Max sighed as she laid on her bed. The week had definitely aged her. Not her body but her soul felt like an old woman.

Sometimes it felt like the whole universe had conspired against her and Chloe. How many times she had to rewind to save herself and Chloe. All the times she watched Chloe die...

But she had done it. She had beaten the storm and saved her best friend.

The town had been hit but not as bad as they feared watching from the Lighthouse. Joyce and the people in the dinner took refuge in a nearby basement.

She had apparently change enough in her time jumps that Alyssa wasn't in the town but in her dorm so she didn't need to be saved.

All the other students were safe at Blackwell, it was far enough from the coast to be hurt to bad. Some cars and trees were thrown around but it seemed worse at the start.

David and Victoria were in the Bunker with Jefferson. The evil man tried to escape but he was smashed by the barn when a tree went through it.

'No big lose there.'

She remembered how Chloe offered herself to stop it. Max didn't even let her finish talking before she tore the photo apart. She would never sacrifice Chloe.

Not for anything.

"You seem lost in your head." Chloe spoke as she ran her fingers through her hair. "You didn't photo jump again, did you? I am talking to the main Max?"

"Main Max? Not SuperMax?"

"Maxipad." Chloe teased.

"Its me Chloe. I...I don't even know if I can time travel anymore. Or if I should."

"Yeah. Hella weird week." She leaned down as kissed the top of Maxs head. "Thanks for not listening to me."

"I...I would have never sacrificed you. Even if the storm...I just couldn't."

"Hey its okay Max. It all worked out. You are amazing. Never forget that."

"If you say so."

"Hey I think we need to go have some fun. With all classes canceled we can do whatever we want." Chloe offered.

"What do you have in mind?"
