How does Luna handle rejection?
Fine, I’ll do it myself
Disappointed by Hermione’s refusal, Luna returns to the Ravenclaw dorms and pulls out her wand again. Unsure of the consequences of what she plans to do, Luna hesitates, the wand-tip hovering at her sternum.
With gathering confidence, Luna takes a deep breath. She calms herself, and when she feels the time is right, whispers, “Imperio.”
The curse takes effect immediately. Her entire demeanor changes. A blissful smile crawls across her face and her posture relaxes. As both the sender and receiver of the curse, every thought she has compounds on itself in her mind. Every whim burrows deep in her subconscious, forcing her to act upon it. The looping spell means that her fleeting thoughts totally override her inhibitions, and those fleeting thoughts are most often about one thing.
