Look at the birds

The birds drew Kasha's attention. They were song birds in vibrant colors, one red and one orange. And, upon closer look, Kasha noticed one held a key in its claws!

Behind her, she heard the creaking of wood, and at first assumed it was the gazebo creaking due to age. But the sound continued, even as she didn't move, and she looked behind and saw a gate was slowly rising up from the ground, wooden bars that would lock Kasha in the gazebo.

Should she dive out while she had the chance? Or should she try to grab the key first?
