Some New Gear

I enter my Domain and fly to the first of the islands. I don't see the girls as I'm flying and assume they're training or in the Alchemy Lab. I land and tuck my wings away before taking the Storage Crystal out. I pour a little mana into it as I do with my Domain Crystal. The Crystal starts glowing and two beams of light shoot out of it. On the other side of the beam is a ball of matching light. In one a chest forms and the other is a wooden box. The light vanishes and the Storage Crystal loses its golden color. I store the crystal away and walk up to the two containers. The wooden box is made up of wood planks on all sides and a metal handle to pull the lid off. The chest is rectangular in shape with two metal handles on the sides. The box is about one foot by one foot and the chest is about two and a half feet by one foot. I try to open the box first but find it locked. The handle has a keyhole and I sigh. I turn to the chest and lift the lid up. Inside I find what looks like a set of armor and a book. I use Observe on the shirt, pants, boots, and gloves I see.

Dark Mythos Chest Lvl 50, Mythical

This black chest armor is made entirely of Mythical grade hide. It has a small metal chest plate and shoulder guards built into it. The metal used is also Mythical grade. It has Mythos Blood enchanted into it. This causes it only to be able to be worn by a Mythos. However, it also increases one's mana regen. It will grow or shrink to fit the wearer perfectly. Gives +150 defense to your torso. Hidden Properties: increases your MP Regen/Hour by 2. Set: Dark Mythos 1/4

Dark Mythos Legginings Lvl 50, Mythical

This black leg armor is made entirely of Mythical grade hide. It has small metal knee guards built into it. The metal used is also Mythical grade. It has Mythos Blood enchanted into it. This causes it only to be able to be worn by a Mythos. However, it also increases one's mana regen. It will grow or shrink to fit the wearer perfectly. Gives +125 defense to your legs. Hidden Properties: increases your MP Regen/Hour by 2. Set: Dark Mythos 2/4

Dark Mythos Boot Lvl 50, Mythical

This pair of black boots are made entirely of Mythical grade hide. It has a small metal lining built along the inside. The metal used is also Mythical grade. It has Mythos Blood enchanted into it. This causes it only to be able to be worn by a Mythos. However, it also increases one's mana regen. It will grow or shrink to fit the wearer perfectly. Gives +100 defense to your feet. Hidden Properties: increases your MP Regen/Hour by 2. Set: Dark Mythos 3/4

Dark Mythos Gloves Lvl 50, Mythical

This pair of black fingerless gloves are made entirely of Mythical grade hide. It has a small metal lining built along the inside. The metal used is also Mythical grade. It has Mythos Blood enchanted into it. This causes it only to be able to be worn by a Mythos. However, it also increases one's mana regen. It will grow or shrink to fit the wearer perfectly. Gives +100 defense to your hands. Hidden Properties: increases your MP Regen/Hour by 2. Set: Dark Mythos 4/4

Dark Mythos Set Bonus: While all four pieces are equipped and worn by a Mythos, all spell damage will be increased by 5%.

"Oh my god." I say slowly in shock. I equip the armor and look down at myself. I smile seeing the armor has grown to fit me. I move around a bit and am shocked at how little it weighs. I Observe the book next.

Storage Book Lvl 5, Common

This book is fake. It is made of wood carved and painted to look like a book. Opening the front cover will reveal a small hole to store items inside.

I take the fake book out and open it. Inside the book is a metal key, about the length of my middle finger. I pick up the locked box and slide the key in before turning. I hear it click and pull the lid off. Inside is a picture frame and two letters. The picture in the frame is one I barely remember getting taken. I see myself, as a kid, next to my parents. We're all dressed up and sitting on a couch. All I remember from this day was being mad that I had to dress up and sit at the photo studio for an hour. I smile and set it down before looking at the letters. Each is in a white envelope with the words From Mom or From Dad on them. I open the one from my mom first and read it.

Hey, kiddo if you're reading this then we're dead. I don't know how to put this so expect it to sound crazy. First off let's get it out of the way. You're not human Eric. You're a Mythos, just like me. We Mythos are very powerful in the Lyna world. If you don't know about the Lyna, ask your Gramps and he'll explain. Anyway, the reason we are powerful is because of our blood and ancestry. We possess the ability to use all Schools of magic at once. This allows us to become an unstoppable **** on the battlefield. However, don't look for other Mythos. I used to live in a tribe of Mythos, but they turned on each other. They wanted to use their powers to rule the world. Fortunately, I and a few others managed to slay them. However, the Queen Mythos got away. She was our leader and the most powerful. So don't look for others because I don't want her to find you! Now that that's out of the way, I'm sorry. I wanted to teach you these things after the Demon God was slain but it seems we failed. And I'm sorry for lying to you about this. We knew if we told you about magic you'd start pursuing it relentlessly. But we didn't want the Demon God to find you so we kept you hidden. This letter has gone on long enough, goodbye Eric. I feel tears running down my cheeks as I finish reading. I quickly wipe them away before opening the letter from my father.

Son, if you're reading this then I'm dead. You know I'm not one for words so I'll get to the point. You have Demon Blood in you. The blood will give you powers but you need to be careful. There will come a time when you have to fight the Flame Devil, Zeferon. When that happens you'll need to win. If you lose he'll take control of your body after killing your soul. Once you win, you'll be asked a choice. If you want the bits of power Zeferon held away from you. Or if you want to become the Flame Devil. I'd heavily recommend that you don't become a Devil. Especially if the Demon God is still alive. Well, that's all I wanted to say. Bye son, I love ya.

I store away the letters and just sit there for a while. I don't think about anything, in particular, I just think about the memories I have of my parents. After a while, I feel my phone start vibrating. I take it out of my pocket and answer it.

"Hello?" I ask.

"Eric, hurry up! Asami won't let us eat without you again!" I hear Luna frantically say.

"Yo..." I start before another voice interrupts me.

"LUNA! Put that down NOW!" I hear Asami shout and Luna starts running. I smile and look back down at the picture in the frame.

"I'll be there soon." I say before hanging up. I store the items away and hold the picture frame in my hands. I smile and place it on a rock, overlooking the small pool of water and think to myself. Mom, dad, I'm off to see the rest of my family. I'll see you later.
