The day goes by slow

Rachel walked out of the bathroom in the same clothes after a relaxing shower, wondering what would happen next. Turns out, not much.

The day went by, slow and boring. Susan had told Rachel's sisters not to bother her until they could figure out more about what was going on. But Susan also wanted to keep an eye on Rachel as well in case something happened. So she was **** to stay in her mother's room and watch TV to pass the time.

Around lunch, Susan came into the room with a sandwich and some chips, a warm smile on her face. "Good news, baby. I got an appointment tomorrow with our doctor. Ten AM. She said that she'll help in whatever way she can."

Rachel bit her lip a little as she grabbed her plate of food. "But... d-did you tell her... about..."

Susan shook her head quickly, sitting on the side of the bed. "No, baby, I didn't tell her anything. I just said that we need you to get a check up ASAP. I said that something was going on but didn't go into detail, promise."

Rachel nodded as she started to eat her chips. But Susan continued. "Honey, I gotta go for a bit. Ms. Ramirez can't find a file and I need to help her find it before tomorrow. I'll be back as soon as I find it, okay?"

Rachel smiled at her mother. "Don't worry, mom. I'll stay in here and make sure my sisters stay out there until you get back and I'll call if I need you. Promise."

Susan nodded and stood up, kissing Rachel's head. "Love you, baby."

She quickly left, wanting to get there and do what she needed to so she could be back. Rachel heard the car start and pull out of the driveway as she finished her sandwich.
