Arerto's challenge.

Arerto walked through the pass into the fog and soon was able to make out the campfires of the enemy camp. As expected she was challenged by the troops and told to stand her ground. Soon, Marcus , Isabella and Magda appeared before her and Marcus signalled his troops to stand down before approaching Arerto taking in her beauty and confidence. He surmised that she was here for a reason and that she would try to run or attack, well not until she was ready to. He again looked her up and down then asked her why she had come to her enemy's camp and she after looking Marcus up and down replied for her reason to be there.

"Marcus I come here of my own choice not to surrender not to be enslaved. I have been told that you are a tyrant but I have also been told you are a man of your word. I propose a challenge I will battle Isabella and Magda and should I defeat them you will turn your army around and never again invade Amazon Territory as long as you live. If I am defeated I will willingly walk into servitude as your ****."

Marcus pondered the challenge and then went to Isabella and Magda and spoke with them and they agreed as both wanted Arerto to suffer in slavery. Marcus returned and gave his word that his troops would never again encroach on Freeconian land while he lived as the commander. Challenge delivered Arerto walked to a nearby rock and sat while Marcus and the others retreated to sort out the details of the upcoming challenge.

Back in the amazon camp Julieanna was the first to note the absence of Arerto when she visited her tent. She saw the three sealed scrolls each addressed to herself, Helena and the queen. She immediately ordered a search of the camp but she already knew the result as she dispatched a rider back to the capital with the scroll for the Queen. She read hers while Helena was summoned and given hers and the two women both looked at each other, Helena insisted on a rescue mission but Julieanna said that it would endanger lives and that is what Arerto was trying to avoid but Helena said she would go alone. Julieanna reluctantly had Helena placed under arrest for her own protection. Julieanna then called the camp to order and addressed the warriors as to what Arerto had done. That done she headed to the fallen wall and just looked into the distance through the fog" Good luck my friend" she whispered to herself then returned to her tent.
