the choice

Walking out of Urahara's back room you look to the girls and spy varying looks. Mostly confusion seeing that your now holding a golden eyed black furred cat in your arms. "J-Johnny?" Rangiku whispers sadly as you walk past her not speaking to any of them. Urahara's words still have your head spinning.

Flashback

{"John-san, You have two choices here." his calm tone slightly unnerving you. "What do you mean?" He suddenly looks to the floor. "I can pull some strings and return their powers, but doing so you will have to choose to either let them go, or have your life changed irreverseably by bringing retsu to your world."

You grasp his robe and growl."WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN LET THEM GO!? And what the fuck are you talking about 'changing my world'?!" He only gives you a stern look. "John-san, have you tried to call THAT number again? Or tried to reach THEIR website since the girls came into your life?"

You let him go. "Are you telling me?" He only smirks to you before flicking his fan open. "Maybe I am, maybe I'm not? You never can tell!" Suddenly a strange feeling comes from your legs. Looking down you spy a black cat rubbing against your legs purring. "Hmm...How would you like to do me a favour John-san?"

You narow your eyes and glare at him. "Depends...Is it legal?" "Hohoho...John-san, Ofcourse its legal! What do you take me for?" His jovial chuckleing seems to only piss you off. "All I need you to do, is take care of this 'poor stray', do this for me and I'll prepare some gigai's for your special ladys, free of charge!" Kealing down you gently scratch her ear.

"All right I guess, You want to come home with me kitty?" She looks up to you and meows happly.}

Real time

"Johnny-kun? Is..is something wrong?" Haineko Whispers sadly as she and the others follow you back to what seems to be only YOUR house by their seeming determination to return to their former lives. Entering the house you point to the couches.

"Please have a seat, I need to make a phone call. After that we need to talk." They visibly cring at your words. As you walk down the hall you hear soft sniffleing comeing from the liveing room. Sighing sadly you stare down to the cat and whisper softly. "What should I do? I dont want to loose them, but I dont want them to be miserable though."

The little cat only nuzzles into your chest purring softly. Setting down the cat on the bed for the moment you sigh again and pick up the phone. Looking down to the supriseingly comforting golden eyes of the black cat you whisper to her again. "Well...here goes nothing."

Dialing the number you wait for a dial tone. Suddenly. "Be-BE-BEEP! Were sorry the number you have dialed is no longer in service, hang up now and try again!" Thinking you might have made a mistake you try again...same result. One last time you dial the number, and after recievieng the same result again you slam the phone back into its cradle.

Putting your head in your hands you curse in utter misery. "Fuck...what do I do Know?" As you strugle to hold back a miserable sob two slim arms encircle your neck in a soft embrace and you feel some one blow against your neck. "Shh...it's going to be alright. I promise you..."
