Confronting the Shop Keep

Breakfast quickly becomes an almost catastrophic affair after that, Rangiku and Renji shoveling in their food while they prompt you and their sword spirits to do the same. For some reason whatever you said must have spooked them because the moment the last morsel of your food crossed your lips and you begin to chew Renji and Rangiku are on your ass, shoving you to get ready so they can visit this mysterious shop. After a bit of stumbling and crashing you are pushed out the door and the whole group sets off for this mysterious shop of wonders, “Er…Rangiku-chan? Why are you so excited to see this shop?”

Turning to you with a bit too wide of a smile Rangiku clasps her hands at her stomach, a maneuver that thrusts her generous chest out towards you as she speaks, “Wh-Whatever do you mean Johnny-chan? I’m just curious to see what they might have…right Renji-chan?”

“R-Right,” Renji’s tone is tinted with nervousness and guilt, something that makes your eyebrow rise with budding curiosity. Yet, despite the decidedly suspicious behavior you let it slide, your head nodding as you lead the girls towards your destination. Just as the day before you have many gawkers who seem utterly gob smacked at the group of gorgeous girls following you, their eyes unable to stray at the veritable entourage of beautiful women who seem completely unaware of the stares they are receiving.

Part of you is very thankful that she shop isn’t far at all from your house and just as it had before, the man in the odd bucket hat and wooden sandals is sitting outside with a wide grin and a large paper fan in his hand, “Well hello, hello again John-san! I see you brought some familiar faces around this time!”

“Urahara!” Rangiku says with a massive smile, her hands clapping happily as Renji offers up a small smile, “Thank god it is you!”

“Urahara?” you mutter in confusion, turning from the bucket headed Urahara and to your busty and lovely Rangiku, “who is that?”

“Kisuke Urahara,” Renji pipes up with a small smile, “someone we know from Soul Society.”

“Aw you flatter me Renji-chan,” Urahara laughs, his paper fan tapping his shoulder as he turns to you, “So what can I do for you this fine day John-san.”

You shrug in a reply, “Nothing for me today, seems like Rangiku-chan and Renji-chan want a word though.”

Nodding a bit Urahara turns to Rangiku, the busty blond quickly filling him in on their ‘situation’ and what has happened in the past few days. “Oi, that does sound like a pretty tough couple of days,” Urahara chuckles, glancing over to you with a covert wink, “but at least you have a nice John-san here to help you out eh?”

“This is serious Urahara,” Rangiku says, suddenly all business, “we need to tell Soul Society that we’re alive or…something. At least we need Gigai so we can walk around like normal and to go on dates with Johnny-chan.”

Rangiku apparently catches her slip up a little too late as Urahara chuckles, “ John-san, you sure do work fast…but sorry to say Rangiku-chan but word is that when you vanished from Soul Society they kind of put you down as Ryoka.”

“What!” Renji and Chimpette exclaim, matching visions of violent fire burning in their eyes as they shout in tandem, “They’re labeling us deserters!?”

“Afraid so Renji-chan,” Urahara says with a shrug, “but look on the bright side-“

“What bright side!?” Renji and Chimpette interrupt, something that is followed by the rest of the girls nodding in agreement.

“You’ve got John-san right?” Urahara says with a serious tone, his gaze turning to you which is quickly followed by all the girls, “You really wanna go back to Soul Society and have to leave him behind?”

“Wh-What? No!” Rangiku and Haineko shout out surprisingly enough, Rangiku continuing as she starts to sputter and ramble, “W-We would never leave John…just…you know family back in Soul Society…and we have duties! We could come to visit…”

With a sigh Urahara shakes his head and lightly taps Rangiku on the head with his fan, “Rangiku-chan, human world or Soul Society. You can’t do it both…hell I still don’t know how Kurosaki can…”

With his part done Urahara turns to you, his smile back in place as he addresses you directly, “Ah yes, John-san. There is something I would like to discuss with you…”
