Alex and Sam Drive

"And the drives are...., me and Alex." Sam said as they looked over the straws.

Clover gave a small shrug but wouldn't fight it while Alex seemed to beam. She'd always be happy over the smallest little win, which was always a bit cute to see. Still it was best to keep going before anything else happened. Sam gave a glance at the 'losers' before pointing at them.

"Alright, so Kendra, you ride with Alex and Clover with me. And to make it FAIR." she stressed before Clover said anything, Sam spun her fingers in a little circle a little bit, "On the way back, We swap. Clover and Alex partner up while Kendra comes with me. That sound fair?"

"I suppose it does... but why do you get to drive both ways? Why can't I drive?" Clover said as she puffed up a bit. Sam had an answer for this though. If she knew anything about Clover it was her dislike of sharing.

"You can drive if you want to Clover though that also means giving Alex or I a turn behind your own car. And well..., given your history....," Sam started before Clover made an X with her arms.

"Alright alright. I get it... geeze. Let's just get going before something happens." Clover said as she started to walk to Sam's car. The red head just gave the other duo a nod as she followed.

"Something happens?" Kendra asked Alex as the pair went to the Yellow car. Alex gave an eager nod.

"Yeah..., usually this is when Jerry would just drag us into a case or mission. HEH, I guess there's one good thing about being in another world is that Jerry can't suddenly yoink us randomly." Alex said with a chuckle as she sat down and buckled up. Kendra gave a small chuckle too as she did the same.

The seats were pretty comfy and there was plenty of leg room. As for the dashboard, well Kendra never really looked at cars. She drew vehicles yes but not as a main focus and usually just from the outside. Never the inside details beyond just the wheel and seats. She fumbled a bit with trying to get the AC to not blow on her when the fans turn on. Alex simply moved over and flicked the vents closed. This close Kendra could still smell the lingering scent of soap on her.

"You good now?" Alex asked. leaning over a bit for a better view.

“Yes! Yes.. I’m … oh this is just gonna be awkward isn’t it?” Kendra admitted.

“What do you mean?” Alex asked, as she turned the key to start the car. It hummed to life as the garage door started to open, with Sam's car slowly leaving.

"I'm a wall flower in the best of times so...," Kendra started to babble but Alex cut her off.

"Look I kinda... bumble through my releationships at times so seeing you do the same isn't a turn off. Heck you probably have more experience with this than I do..., at least with girls." Alex chuckled, "Look just..., take a breath and tell me about yourself.... how'd you get those cats for one?" The tanned spy asked as she started to move the car to follow Alex.

"Well...., it wasn't like I went out of my way to be a crazy cat lady... heh...," Kendra admitted as she moved some of her bangs out of the way.

Kendra started to slowly tell the story. It wasn't a very exciting story though, not compared to stuff the spies had gone through.

Felix, named after a cartoon character of the same name, was an older cat. Her father give him as a kitten when Kendra got her first big gig. She always liked animals but had a thing for cats more. That and her apartment would only allow small animals so large dogs were out. Bella joined the family a few years later; a friend from work was moving to a new place that didn't allow for pets. He had heard about Kendra's cat over a few coffees and wanted Bella to have a good home. So Kendra took the cat in.

"It was a bit of a pain to get Felix and Bella to not go after each other." Kendra laughed a bit as she scratched her cheek.

"I bet. Big cat having to deal with a yonger one coming in....., so um... are kittens..." Alex started to ask as she shifted the car behind some traffic.

"No no, all of them are fixed. I couldn't handle the two of them very well at first, so I couldn't picture having kittens added to the mix. Felix was fixed but Bella was treated before she got to me." Kendra explained. She'd like to maybe take care of another tiny cute kitten but... her lease wouldn't allow more than 3 animals. Four at most and only to proven renters.

Well... she could have more now that she's in place like this. But she didn't want to pressure the girls with MORE animals. Speaking of which..,

"Wait are any of you allergic to cats?"

"Oh I am.... was... it's complicated." Alex said, giving a weak chuckle. Sounded like it was tough to talk about, "So... explain Vinny and I'll explain the allergy."

"Well.... I went out to a small party after a successful project one month. Not like a big party, just free drinks and food. One of those wrap up shooting type parties for the workers you know, not cast." Alex nodded as Kendra described it, "Well I had to step outside for a call, place was a little to noisey. It was dad, congratulating me. We talked, shared info, and hung up. I was on my way back in when I heard the softest little sound."

"So I followed it, around a small alleyway and under a tarp of some kind. Tiny little kitty cat, hurt and soaked. And well...., protection instinct?"

"Aw that's so kind of you!" Alex coo'd as she pictured the woman just picking up the small hurt animal.

"Yeah..., got him up, got my things asked where the nearest vet was. He was hurt and sick but would live... if he got the meds needed. I couldn't just leave him though..." Kendra blew some air out in a sigh, "So my project bonus went into helping that little guy recover... and he has been with me since. Little adventurous guy too."

"I mean he tried to pick a fight with all of us so..." Alex commented. The fact that small cat wanted to fight, even if it was play fight, with three big trained super spies..., that was kinda cute.

"Yeah..., but he's a good cat." Kenda said, "He just likes attention and is more playful. He's yonger than the other two so he's got more energy." Alex nodded at this, understanding what she meant before Kendra went on "So about those allergies?"

"RIGHT... yeah..., how much of the ... well show have you watched?" Alex asked, giving a slight cough as she moved around traffic some more. Sam's car was still clearly visable even as they moved through the city.

"A bit... but never really followed it besides for artwork. You got.... maybe six seasons but a few times the writers got shifted around so it was weird." Kendra answered.

"Right okay I'll just get the akward bit out of the way I guess. You know how Clover got turned into a were cat one time?"

"Yeah.... god that woke up a lot of people to the furry idea." Clover had been a bit cute as a cat though, Kendra had to admit. Wait was she a furry..., maybe? Wondered if she could have been matched with someone in human..., worry for later.

"Well I got turned into a cat myself. Honestly I probably should have exploded from all the sinuses and sneezing but whatever process I went through also seemed to have cured me. Heh, I guess the virus saw the fact I would probably die or be too sick to do anything and went 'oh... I should fix this' and did so." Alex explained with a bit of a grin on her face, "Oh that was akward coming back to normal from that. Always had the urge for milk... in a saucer... blech. Clover knew how it felt though. BUT she also had a way more **** change than I did."

"Did your company or ... agency ever do anything with that?"

"The cat virus? Kinda. They ran a few more tests and found it could cure someone's allergies to an animal but at the same time it was... mentally and physically taxing as I heard. And some people turned out to react worse to it. I got lucky I guess! But no there's no magic pill to take to cure it in my world." Alex cheerfully said.

"Aw... ah well I guess that's a bit too bad." Kendra said as she watched the buildings go by. It didn't seem any different from her own world, though maybe some of the signs and labels being different.

"Any other effects like that from your adventures?" Kendra asked.
