Gon had just turned 18. He was finally going to start his journy, the hunter exam.

The hunter exam is a yearly test. If you passed it you could gain acess to resources, resources he need to find his dad. However to take the test you had to be at least 18.

Grabbing his backpack and stuffing it with cloths and otherthings he might need. As he throwing his stuff into his backpack he heard a knock on his door.

Look over to the door he saw it open and in came his aunt mito. She had raised him since he could remeber.

Opening her mouth mito asked "so your going then?"

Stoping his movements he looked at her and nodded.

Looking down in sadness "I thought so." Looking back up she looked him in the eye and continued. "In that case why dont we celebrate your birthday first then you can go sign up for it. Besides sign ups dont start for another week, and it doesnt start for a couple of months."

Looking away sheepishly he responded "I forgot" while chuckiling

Mito smiled and started to walk out of gons room. Suddenly she stopped "oh yea before i forget your father sent you a birthday gift, its on the table."

Stopping what he was doing he ran out to the kitchen. When he got there he saw a brown box sitting there.
