Hunting the Wizard
We made our way through the streets of the city. Me ended up carrying the large knapsack that held the girls extra gear. Not that I minded but they could have packed a little lighter. Thankfully they hadn't loaded the whole tent up of anything. I stopped to give a few coppers to some begging kids which earned me a kiss on the cheek from Artemis.
We found the wizards workshop called Willow's Wizardly Wonders Workshop on the edge of the city near the river gate where boats came in and out of the city. The place seemed to offer magical services and items according to a sign by the door but was closed and no one answered the door.
“Lets try around back where there is less foot traffic.” Minerva said as she looked at some passing towns folks. We weren't in the central market but there was enough people to draw suspension if we tried to brake in.
“Me and Selene will head around this way. You guys take the left.” Minerva said.
“Got you.” Artemis smiled gleefully and went to move then stopped. “Which way is left?”
“That way?” Selene nodded with her head.
“This way?” Artemis pointed.
“Right.” Minerva smiled.
“So that way is left.” Artemis pointed the other way.
“No that is left.” Minerva pointed the other way.
“But you said right.”
“Just follow me.” I grabbed Artemis collar and dragged her along shaking my head. We went around checking windows that were shut up tight and meet the girls at the backdoor.
“Anything?” Minerva asked.
“Locked up tight.” I shook my head.
“I found something.” Artemis bent down and looked at the dirt on the ground. It had mostly dried sense the rains last night from the sunlight but was still slightly soft in places beneath the foot. “Foot prints. A few hours old. Expensive boots. Male halfling, dwarf, or gnome judging by the size. Older man with a slight limp or carrying a heavy bag on one side as the foot print is heavier on the left. An indentation of a walking stick or a wizards staff ahead of each step of the right foot meaning he is probably right handed. He was in a hurry as he had a fast pace and was heading for the east gate if I had to guess.” Artemis said poking at the prints.
“You got all that from a pair of foot prints?” I smiled. I guess she wasn't completely useless.
“Yep.”
“She is one of the best hunters and trackers there is.” Selene smiled.
“I am guessing our mage is on the run and is trying to make a brake for it before the dragon queen arrives.” Minerva said.
“Well so much for questioning him.” I shook my head. It felt like we were chasing bread crumbs.
“With any luck he left something for us to find inside.” Selene smiled. “Leave this to me.”
“Wait.” Minerva stopped her before she could open the door. “This is a mage we are dealing with. He could have cursed the door or put up some kind of defensive spell.”
“Be my guest.” Selene held out her hand. Minerva tugged at the front of her dress and reached down between her cleavage and pulled out a handle and kept pulling as she worked what I thought was a rod from between her breast and kept pulling hand over hand till she had pulled out a full sized staff out of her cleavage.
“Where were you keeping that?” I asked.
“I have a bag of holding in my cleavage so no one can steal my stuff.” Minerva smiled.
“Oh. That reminds me.” Selene walked over and reached into the Minerva dress shoving her entire arm down between the other womans cleavage
“What the? Selena.” Minerva looked at her.
“One second.” Selene bit her tongue as she seemed to rummage around between Minerva's tits.
“Found it.” Selene pulled out a sweet roll and began to eat it. “I forgot I had stolen this from that guard.
“Why is that in my bag?” Minerva asked.
“I didn't have any room in my satchel. Where else was I suppose to stick it?” Selene smiled slyly.
“You really don't want to ask me that sweet heart.” Minerva put her hands on her hips.
“Ooh. Is my hairbrush in there? I couldn't find it this morning.” Artemis came over and peeked down between Minerva's tits.
“Get out of there.” Minerva pulled away. She cast a spell and dozens of magical ruins appeared on the door. “Impressive. This might take a second. You three keep watch.” It took a few minutes for her to break all of the spells on the door. “There.”
“Okay. I am up.” Selene came over and worked to pick the lock. It took her a minute as well as the lock seemed far more complicated then a tavern door but she finally managed to unlock it. “And open sesame.” She pulled the handle and gave it a push but the door stopped. “Really. A door bar?” The door was bard from the other side.
“Our wizard is the paranoid type it seems.” Minerva shook her head.
“Want me to try and break it down?” I smiled.
“That is pretty sturdy oak and might take a lot of **** making a lot of noise.” Artemis touched the door and rubbed it suggestively. “Trust me. I know my wood. All of the women in my family are master wood workers. I think I can get in that window if he boost me up.” Artemis pointed.
“The wizard may not have thought of that and left it unprotected.” Selene smirked as she looked up.
“I know the one he didn't think of.” Minerva crossed her arms and looked at the thief.
“Of god no. Not the latrine again. I just got these boots and last time I got pissed on plus I don't even want to think what could be living in the sewers in a city this big.” Selene shook her head. “Can't you just burn it down or hit it with a bolt of lightening?”
“And risk burning the whole building down.” Minerva smirked.
How do you break into the wizards shop?
