Call it a night.

He was exhausted. Though it was still early if he calculated the time he spent moving about when time was frozen it would have been well past mid-night. Mark was out like a light as soon as his head hit his pillow. He dreamed wonderful dreams.

He heard his mother calling for him sometime later. She was saying something about shoveling snow with Ashley. Mark still too tired drifted back to sleep. He dreamed of his mother and Ashley, playing with them while time was frozen. Was him stopping time only a dream or was it true. The the thought lingered in his head as fell back into a deep sleep.

A hard smack on the side of his head jolted him from his slumber. "Fuck!" he muttered sitting up in his bed. Bright light from outside shot into his room from his open blind. It was even brighter thanks to all the snow outside. His eyes hurt as they adjusted. He then saw his older sister standing at the foot of his bed, arms crossed. She was dressed in her university hoodie sweat shirt while her lower half in dark leggings. Her auburn locks were tied in a messy bun. "What?" he groaned as he glared at her.

"Mom wants you to shovel the snow," Ashley said.

"I'm sure she said you had to help too," Mark shot.

"So you did hear her and you'll just laying here."

"You heard her too and you're in here telling me I have to do it," Mark said laying back down in his bed.

"Well, I'm older and I'm guest here...so..." Ashley declared.

Mark then remembered and thought, "STOP!"

Time stopped, everything went silent. Ashley stood at the foot of his bed, time-suspended with her hands on her hips, her eyes blank though her face held a frown. "Shit...it wasn't a dream..." Mark grinned looking at his frozen older sister.
