A Safe Room

We move into the room on the right. We find three Minotaurs and slay them. We move on and circle around the boss room. This reminds me of the first floor when we went around the three by three grids sides. By the time we get to the last room, not including the center Floor boss room, we've slain 15 Minotaurs. I've gotten, including the three from earlier, 18000 Exp and 11,214$.

"This is the last room. It has to be the Safe Zone." Liz says. She sounds tired but excited at the same time. I chuckle and open the doorway. Inside I see another small pool of water and feel the same change in the mana. "Yes!" Liz cheers and we enter the room. Fortunately we haven't used too much mana. Except for Liz, who seems to only be able to attack with magic. She's down to a fifth and quickly enters the pool. She sighs happily and smiles. "This feels great." She says.

"Shouldn't you take off your armor?" Luna asks her.

"No, the water disappears after you leave the room. So even if you soak yourself, you'll leave completely dry.

"I wish I knew that sooner." I say walking in and sitting a few feet away from Liz. She laughs and the rest of the girls get in. I take out the lunch Asami made us and start unpacking it. I pass around the paper plates after filling it with the food they wanted and we eat. We talk about the Ruins and Luna asks Liz why she only trapped or weakened the Minotaurs.

"Like I said earlier, the Dryads hate killing. To them taking a life, no matter what it is, is forbidden. If one of them killed anything without a good enough reason, they'd be banished from the forest. In fact, one of the Dryads who helped raise me once had to kill a Lyna. They had a good reason for it, he was trying to set the forest on fire although I can't say why. So even though she had a good reason and wasn't banished, I found her mourning and regretting it many times. Anyway I'm ranting, sorry. The point is that they're feelings on killing were taught to me and I agree. I don't feel bad for helping in it now, the monsters here are just mana. But I'd never hold another person down for you to kill like I am now." She answers and Luna looks at her shocked. We finish eating and I check my map. I see we only have the Floor Boss left and we're all back to max MP and HP.

"So, the only other room is the Floor Boss. Are you guys ready or should we go back?" I ask them.

"Yes!" Luna shouts excitedly.

"I am." Hino says, and although she tries to keep a calm demeanor, I see her smile.

"It'd be a waste to go back now." Myla adds smiling and holding her sword out.

"Of course! I didn't come here to leave without meeting the big guy." Liz says and I smile.

"Then let's go!" I say and we make our way to the Floor Boss. We just go back out the door we came in and turn left. I do feel the water vanish instantly and shiver. It's an odd sensation, going from cold, drenched and dripping water to completely dry and warm in a single step. I open the doorway and immediately see what the boss is. It's a Wyvern, covered in blue scales. I Observe it and we step inside.

Ice Wyvern Lvl 40, Class: Mythical, Title: Frost Prince, RP: -250, Hearts: 0, Weak: Fire

HP: 6500/6500 MP:2000/2000

I smile and cast Demonic Flame on our weapons, except for Liz's.

"It's weak to fire." I tell them and they nod. Liz slams her staff on the ground again and roots come out of the ground. It traps the Wyvern and it roars. We all charge it and attack. I hit first followed by Hino, Myla and Luna in that order.

The beast breaks free and takes to the sky. I'm about to follow after it when more roots shoot out of the walls. They chase the beast and hit it. They literally smack it out of the air. It crashes to the ground on the other side of the room.

We start running to it but I see it start to get up. It spreads its wings like its going to fly. I Blink next to it and cut it.

I store the Crystal Heart and turn around. I see the girls, aside from Luna who is waiting for pets, looking around.

"What are you looking for?" I ask them and pet Luna.

"The Floor Bosses always have stuff in their rooms. We're looking for it." Hino answers before Liz shouts to get our attention.

"Hey! I found it!" She shouts and we all turn to look. She's pointing to the corner the Wyvern crashed in. Behind the hole in the ground is a small wooden hut. It's a little taller than me and is just as wide. We walk over to it and I see a doorway. "It's too small for two people so Eric, Will you do the honors." Liz says, and I can't tell if she's messing around again or if she's serious. Either way I step inside and see two things. Both are on a table, the first being a glowing blue crystal and the other is a pair of glasses. I use Observe on both of them.

Ice Core, Epic Blacksmithing Item

This Blue Crystal is made from the mana of a Ruins Ice Wyvern. This makes it much stronger than normal. The Ice Core will not only make any item or weapon its put in more magical but it will add Ice damage or resistance, depending on the item. So for this reason it's best used in making Ice damaging weapons or Ice resistant armors.

Rune Makers Glasses Lvl 35, Epic

These golden glasses will make the wearer better at engraving Runes or magic circles on any item or weapon. It requires the Rune Graving or Magic Graving skills to be effective. They also make the wearers eye sight 20/20 and will change size to fit their head.

I step outside and the girls look at me excitedly.

"Their was a Ice Core and a pair of glasses that boost Rune and Magic Graving skills." I say, a little disappointed myself.

"Well those are still good. And valuable, so even if you have no use for them you can sell them for a pretty penny." Liz says and I nod in agreement.

"So, should we check out what the next floor has?" Hino asks.

"What do you mean?" Luna asks in confusion.

"Well we need to go down to unlock the shortcut. So we could go through the first door and see what monsters will be there. It'll also let us know if we should bring different equipment." Myla answers and Luna quickly agrees. We go down the stairs and I open the shortcut. Then we go through the doorway and I look around. I don't see anything, and before I can ask the girls, the door behind us closes.
