Side Stepping The Rules

We take off and I immediately trip. I hear Asami laugh before helping me up.

"Are you okay?" She asks and I nod.

"Well, I guess I lost." I say and she smiles.

"No. You can fly remember? And no one said anything about rules." I laugh and kiss her.

"Thank you." I say and she blushes. I take out my wings and fly. I start flying down to the newly made beach. I notice how my wings leveling up affected them. They're now much easier to move and feel more natural. This makes it easier to fly faster, however that could also be the speed boost it got on leveling up. Despite this I make a mental note to practice flying some more. I land on the beach first and tuck my wings away. I turn around to face the cabin and smile. A few moments later Luna and Hino show up running next to each other with Myla close behind. They're all smiling and don't notice me. Luna makes it to the beach first and starts cheering.

"Yes! I won!" She says and I walk up behind her and pet her.

"Good job Luna. You got second place." She turns around and sees me. She looks at me shocked and starts muttering.

"Eric. Flying is against the rules." Myla says to me and I sigh before shrugging.

"We never specified rules." I tell her and Luna growls. Asami walks onto the beach and laughs seeing this.

"I tried to warn him not to." She says and the other girls look to me. I see her grim mischievously.

"What? Now I'm starting to regret kissing you." I say teasingly. "But fine." I put my hands up before continuing. "I'm disqualified. Luna wins." I say and Luna jumps and cheers again. We all get in the water and start having fun. We play Marco Polo, which Luna and Asami cheat at with their heightened sense of smells. We splash each other and I quickly entered my apartment to Craft a beach ball from a basketball and a pack of colored rubber balloons I had. After about two hours Myla and Hino get called by their parents. They each have to go back for training and to review the fight with the Devils. I walk them back to the Cabin where they dry off and left their clothes.

"Bye Eric. I love you." Myla says with a blush and kissing me before returning to my apartment where Scott is on his way to.

"Bye Hino." I say petting her head reflexively while she hugs me. Unlike Myla she stays. She looks around to confirm we're alone before looking up and closing her eyes. I get the message and put one hand on her chin. I lift her head up and kiss her. After I pull away I see her blushing and she smiles.

"I love you." She says burying her face into my chest.

"I love you too." I tell her before she disappears and goes back to my apartment. I gave Myla the spare key before she left to lock up when she leaves. I turn around and see Asami and Luna enter the cabin.

"Hey girls, what are you doing here?" I ask them confused and they smile.

"We just wanted to be with you." Luna says walking forward and hugging me.

"Do you have anymore plans for today?" Asami asks and she reminds me of something.

"Not today, but Luna. Hino and Myla wanted to join us on our next trip to the Ruins. And I was thinking of going tomorrow morning, what do you think?"

"Yes! It was a lot of fun last time, but I was nervous. I know I'm still lacking experience so having them there will help." Luna answers and I smile before kissing her.

"Then I'll think of a lunch to make you guys." Asami says joining the hug.

"Thank you. Now if you'll excuse me for a minute, I'm going to clear my inventory real quick." I say and they let go of me. I walk into the Blacksmiths Workshop. I place the Katana I made on the rack and go back into the cabin. I place the chest I got from the Ruins down and use Craft on it. I use all ten of my Enchanted Wood to upgrade it to a storage chest. Now I can open its inventory and store up to 200 items inside. I put my Mini Hydra Heart, Swamp Elemental Core and the camera I took from Dick inside. I then go into the master room and send one of the small tablets to Triss. I start walking away when mine immediately lights up. I scan the Crystal Hearts and they vanish. I place the tablet back and the other appears. I open my inventory and look at the egg. I've been dying to try to hatch this Phoenix Wyvern Egg. I Observe it again and check what I need.

Phoenix Fire Wyvern Egg, Legendary

This egg contains the soul and remains of the Phoenix Fire Wyvern. Like the name suggests, when a Phoenix Wyvern dies they return to an egg form to be rebirthed. If the egg hatches naturally no changes will occur. The Wyvern within will go back to being wild. If someone Imprints on the egg before hatching then the Wyvern will recognize them as their master after rebirthing. The Wyvern will hatch at the same age they were when they died, Current Age: 18. This egg can be hatched in a magic flame, hot enough to melt steel or naturally in one year. The baby will imprint on whoever pours some of their blood onto the egg. Depending on who Imprints them, the Wyvern will undergo a change, becoming stronger, weaker or, on rare occasions, evolving.
