What plans?
A pawn
“You will do as I say,” Escaba commands, “ you will travel to the city of Yahmesh, and you will seduce the high priestesses, by then, you will await my orders.” Garris has no choice but to nod as the creature continues, “I will gift you weapons, gold and runes to guide your travels, but make no mistake mortal, your soul is mine until I say you are done.” Escaba shifts to some items behind his throne. “ an oak bow, finely crafted by soulless elves,” he wheezes before moving to the next item, “a new steel dagger, as your old one failed to stop my men, and a rune of false hope, so that people may look to you for salvation.” Garris is handed a bow, a dagger and a stone with red engravings. “ behind my tent, there is a patch of the camp with no men stationed, there you will find a painted horse, with gold, food, water and arrows awaiting you, but leave through the back of my tent, my men think I mean to kill you.” Garris nods and exits the tent the way he was told, as he crawls under the tent material, he hears the knight walk back into the room. “Ah Banan, your offering was accepted.” Garris looks up to see a horse with a painted face peering down at him. Taking his new items, he climbs on and retreats into the Forrest.
