A hunt

Huff...Huff. "I should run more often."

A figure in a dark red hoodie is running down an alleyway late at night followed by three other people, the first two holding baseball bats and the third with a pocket knife.

Snap! The thug closest to the figure was confused. Did this dumbass just snap his fingers? Was the last thought running through his head before a large potted plant fell and hit him over the head. The two other thugs looked up and saw just a small potted plant garden on a apartment patio. The thugs continued and left their friend behind, only to turn the corner to see the figure has vanished.

"Well, at least your alright Jarren. Still, did you have to drop that plant on his head?"

"Yes I had too, he was catching up to me. What was I supposed to do Alis? Let them beat me over the head with bats?"

"Alright, alright. I believe you, now, you mind helping me with this potion?"

"Sure." Jarren, a tanned man with black hair and dark green eyes rose from his seat on the couch, and stepped over to Alis, a woman who was pale and had long, blonde hair. From a glance, if anyone was looking at her through a window, it would look like she was making a soup of some kind in the kitchen. Must not be a particularly powerful potion she's making, or she'd use the cauldron. "So what is this one for?"

"To sell, a vampire needs it for some payback." Vampires, have a known reputation for treachery and SO MUCH drama between one another."Vampire huh? You better be careful not to get dragged into one of their disputes. Whats the potion do anyway?"

"It can paralyze most average sized creatures, or in this case, a vampire, has to be magic considering their basically dead. The Vamp plans invite them over to talk, offer a blood bag tainted with this, steal everything the other vamp has on them, then do something vague with them, I don't know."

"What did the other vamp do?" "Apperently they stole from the boss."

"Really sis? This seems pretty sketchy, you know that right?" Jarren remarked.

"Hey, I'm doing this to pay back what I owe you. The Vamp will drop off payment here once the job is done." Jarren looks incredulously at her.

"You told vampires where I LIVE?!" Alis cringes at the implications. "Oh."

"Ok, does this vampire their getting back at have allies?" She thinks for a second. "No. That was the first thing I asked them when they wanted my help."

Jarren's shoulders relax, "Ok then, I guess you can consider your debt repaid."

Alis grins from ear to ear. "Yes! By the way, I'm gonna be away for about a month, Aunt Margo is gonna teach me some more spells, soon I'll be on your level."

Jarren makes an over exaggerated skeptical face, "Hmmmm...Not likely."
