The next morning, M'gann awoke with a huge smile on her face, feeling MJ's lips on the back of her neck. "Morning, babe," MJ whispered in the martian woman's ear as her hand snaked down between M'gann's legs, lightly tracing the woman's slit.

"And let's not forget, MJ, Mistress Diana also wants to get to know M'gann more intimately," Kori reminded her girlfriend.

M'gann's eyes widened "'Mistress Diana'... wait, you don't mean--"

M'gann was overwhelmed as she thought of the possibilities. "Wow..."

Kori nodded and said yes. "It's just as I thought... these wounds -- as well as the evidence Shayera gave us from the scene of the attack -- these are consistent with weaponry used by the Tamaranean royal guard."

"So Blackfire *was* involved..." MJ said, worry in her voice. "Is she trying to get to me again?"

"It seems likely, but I have my doubts," Kori answered. "She wouldn't dare risk another defeat at my hands... what could my sister be up to?"

"I apologize for eavesdropping, but I might be able to help with that," Maxima interjected, having passed by the conversation. "I have a Tamaranean friend who owes me a favor -- Alisand'r, a Green Lantern. She should be able to infiltrate Queen Komand'r's palace and find something you can use. I could call in that favor, if you wish..."

"Really? You'd do that for us?" MJ asked.

"Yes. I... I like you and Koriand'r," Maxima admitted. "It's rare I meet people I share so much in common with... or feel I can open up to right away, as I did with you two. Please, let me help you."

Kori looked at Maxima and smiled gratefully. "You have our gratitude, Maxima. I hope we can find a way to repay you."

"Yeah, what Kori said," echoed MJ. "I don't know if there's anything I can do for you, but if there is, just let me know."

"A pleasure to meet you, M'gann M'orzz. I am Maxima, Vice-Preceptor at Crucible Academy and princess of Almerac," Maxima introduced herself, shaking M'gann's hand.

"MJ & Kori have told me a bit about you... they say you're helping them out with their investigation. I really appreciate that," M'gann said gratefully. "Those two, uh, they mean a lot to me."

MJ & Kori couldn't help but blush at their girlfriend's comment. "Awwwww..." cooed MJ as she rested her head on Kori's shoulder, the couple giving M'gann a warm smile.

"I can certainly understand why," Maxima approved. "I felt more accepted by them after one conversation than I ever was in twenty years with my family."

"Yes, Kori & MJ told me... it took me some time to find somewhere I belong, myself," M'gann sympathized, referring to the mistrust she'd received in her past. "But I've been lucky enough to find my place."

"I suppose I've found my place... for now," Maxima contemplated. "The Crucible is certainly better than Almerac. They see that there's more to me than my family ever did. But I envy your Titans. You sound like the family I've always wanted. And I see the way you two look at each other, Kori & MJ... that's the kind of happiness I hope to have one day."

"After your family refused to accept you, you found the strength to leave and try and find happiness on your own. I believe you will find it someday," Kori encouraged.

"Thank you, Kori -- that means a lot coming from you, especially after hearing what your sister put you through."

"...And, as I've said before, I would go through it all again, because it led me to the woman I love," Kori pointed out.

"Awwww... I feel like I should make a joke about how sickeningly sweet that was, but really, that just makes me happy," MJ blushed before kissing Kori. "I'm sure you'll find something someday too, Maxima. Speaking of which, you ever think about visiting Kara at some point?"

"Excellent idea!" Kori added. "You could stay with us."

A curious look crossed Maxima's face as she contemplated MJ's question. "I would like to, I really would... but what would I say to her? I wouldn't be able to pursue anything with her. She loves another woman..."

"...And? Who's to say she wouldn't love you, too?" Kori wondered.

Maxima looked confusedly at Kori. "What do you mean by that?"

"MJ and I have explored a number of polyamorous relationships. Who's to say Kara and her lover wouldn't as well?"

MJ smiled, in full agreement with her girlfriend. "Yeah, we have some experience romancing multiple gorgeous women... don't we, M'gann?"

M'gann blushed and smiled widely. "They might have some experience in seducing their friends, yeah..."

MJ chuckled and walked over to M'gann, hugged her close and kissed her on the cheek. "See? We're pretty good at these things... besides, Maxima, this is something I can do to repay you for your help in our investigation."

"I-I see... I guess I never thought about things that way," Maxima admitted. "Maybe I do have a chance with Kara."

"well, if you're thinking about it, know that MJ & I are more than willing to help," Kori told Maxima. "In any case, I believe we have to meet with Shayera tomorrow morning. MJ -- M'gann -- shall we head to our quarters?"

"Yes, I should probably head to my quarters too," Maxima agreed. "Goodnight, my friends. I hope we can talk again tomorrow."

"I'm sure we will," MJ smiled. "And Max... thanks again. I really appreciate your help."

"We all do," Kori echoed.

Maxima pondered MJ & Kori's suggestion as she headed to her quarters. How would Kara feel about the idea? For that matter, how did Kara feel about her? How would her girlfriend feel? The more she thought about it, the more she realized she had to at the very least let Kara know how she felt about her... and while on the subject of polyamory, Maxima couldn't help but think about her growing attraction to MJ & Kori, and now, M'gann. They obviously had experience with multiple girlfriends -- surely they'd be happy to include Maxima as one of them? All these questions ran through her mind over and over again as she drifted off to sleep.
