Shocking Spells

I push the now empty box away and hold the Scroll. I grab the small metal ring and pull on it. It connects to a long piece of paper that glows, literally glows, a dark grey, but not quite black color. On the paper are white symbols written on it. I can't recognize the symbols but my mind puts them together. I'm able to read them despite not knowing what they mean.

"What is that?" Asami asks amazed.

"Whatever it is, it hurts my eyes." Luna adds rubbing her left eye. I start reading the scroll and feel the mana flow off the symbols and go into me. After what felt like an hour of reading, but was really more of a minute, the symbols glow brightly before it engulfs in a bright white flame burning the scroll entirely. Before I can do anything else my mail icon, that normally stays at the top corner of my vision, moves to the center of my vision and opens itself.

New Skill: Annihilation Energy Lvl 1

Annihilation Energy lets you create and manipulate energy designed for destruction. You can do anything with this energy that you can think of. MP Cost is determined by the amount of energy created.

New Skill: Annihilating Strike Lvl 1

Annihilating Strike is a skill that can only be used with Katanas or swords. It wraps your blade in an Annihilating energy allowing it to destroy any armor and cut through any defense. This lasts for one attack and adds (Intelligence × 3) to your attack. MP Cost: 50

New Skill: Annihilating Thrust Lvl 1

Annihilating Thrust lets you thrust your Katana or Sword with Annihilation energy. This sends the energy through the air. It deals no damage but can destroy any mana it comes into contact with. Cannot harm or interfere with any physical or non magical object. MP Cost: 75

New Skill: Annihilation Ray Lvl 1

Annihilation Ray lets you shoot a beam of pure Annihilating energy. This beam will destroy any and all matter it touches. It deals no damage but can kill by destroying someone's heart or head. It cannot interfere or harm any magical object or mana making it easy to block with a weak mana shield. MP Cost: 75

New Skill: Annihilating Cloak Lvl 1, Passive

Annihilating Cloak creates a cloak around yourself that allows you to use the natural mana in the air to fly. It provides zero physical defense but can weaken all magic attacks from behind by 50%.

Annihilating Cloak and Flame Wings have Evolved into Annihilating Wings

New Skill: Annihilating Wings Lvl 1, Passive

Annihilating Wings are similar to Flame Wings as they can be stored away within your body. They are a dark grey color and made entirely of Annihilating Energy. They can reduce the damage of magic attacks they come into contact with by 75%. The energy allows you to fly faster than they were capable of before.

"So, what is it?" I hear Asami ask as I finish reading about my new wings.

"Good things." I say with a smile.

"Good." She replies resting her head on my shoulder.

"So, are we opening this yet?" Luna asks pointing to the box. I chuckle and shake my head no.

"Let's wait until tomorrow morning." I tell her.

"But don't you have school tomorrow?"

"Yeah, but after today, I'm going to call in. Besides we have some Ruins to explore." I say and she beams with excitement.

"Really!? Like for real, for real?" I laugh and start petting her.

"For real for real. Now lets get some sleep. We have a busy day tomorrow." She nods and starts to lay down before turning back to me.

"Can you take out your wings?" She asks, sounding a little embarrassed.

"Sure, why?"

"When I felt them earlier I thought that they might make a good blanket. Well, half blanket since it'll only cover half of me." I smile and take them out, forgetting to warn them about the change they went through just now.

"Wow, they're bigger now." Asami says running her hand along my wings. I look at them and notice they are bigger now.

"That's now three fourths a blanket." I say to Luna smugly making her laugh. I lay down and rest my wings over them. They slide up to me and we fall asleep together.
