Hate In The Alfonso Office (Two Weeks Later…)
Two weeks later…
Tammy pulled the shower curtain across behind her as she got in, fiddling with the knobs as she got the water's temperature to what she liked. She leaned back a little, letting it run all along her body, rinsing it off. Still, the comfort of the warm water running down her body did little to soothe her soul. It was enough to make her wish that many in the city were right, and that she didn’t truly have one.
It had been two weeks since Alfonso’s last encounter with Starslip. Two weeks since they'd had sex, since she almost killed the young blonde, as she'd fantasized about doing so many times, but found herself unable to do when she finally had the chance. Two weeks since she spent the night crying in Cassie’s arms, both confused by why she couldn’t kill her and ashamed that any part of her wanted to kill her.
That morning, Fonzie had found that her lover and nemesis had left, having gotten up before her. The tattered remains of Starslip's costume were all that were left. There had been no sightings of her anywhere throughout Star Lake since, be it as Starslip or Cassie Doyle. And as much as the Malicious Mobster felt that she should be grateful to know that her biggest obstacle had gotten out of her way, the truth was, she couldn't seem to truly embrace her work anymore.
When Cassie disappeared, Tammy decided to have her henchmen look deeper into who she was. She was a senior at Maria J. Hanson Memorial High School. Her father, Kenneth, was a retired private investigator. Her mother, Linda, spent most of her life as a volunteer worker, until one day, she’d run out on her family. She had a girlfriend who loved superheroes and had recently moved away to another city, apparently having broken up with Cassie. And right now, she was officially labelled as a missing person.
Putting together what she learned and what she’d observed of the young woman as Starslip, the Bewitching Mob Boss was finally getting a real picture as to the person Cassie was: Someone who was compassionate and wanted to help people, but was lonely because of the losses in her life. She was also someone who Fonzie, directly or indirectly, moulded through her actions. It was because Linda had walked into that firefight and gained her powers at the expense of Alfonso’s husband’s life that she ran away, leaving Cassie without a mother for most of her life. It was because of that event that she likely made coming after the Devil of Star Lake and deposing her so personal. And it was because Fonzie’s influence in the city made the public stance against superheroes so strong that Cassie had become so conflicted, possibly even apathetic, to her own cause. But all of this left the Psychotic Crime Boss with one question.
…Why do I care so much? Fonzie wondered as she continued to let the water rinse her body off, not even bothering to lather up with soap. I’ve done way worse to a ton of people, I’d do it all again in a heartbeat to get where I am. So why the fuck does this bother me so much?
It was clear as day to Tammy that something was wrong. After all, how many times had she fantasized of having Starslip helpless before her, gripping a knife, and driving it deep into the young heroine's heart. It would've been so easy to kill her that night, to take her head, and present it to the other mob bosses to perform whatever sick acts they desired to it, and then all of her problems would've been over. But she didn’t. And she knew that it wasn’t a case where she missed. In her mind, at the time she swung, she changed her aim and stabbed the wall. But why?
Dammit, Tanner and the others are right, Fonzie concluded, tilting her head down and letting the water run through her hair. She IS seducing me. Corrupting me. Making me feel…fuck, ANYTHING but hate for her.
Regardless, Cassie was gone, possibly for good. So, in the end, it didn't matter that she didn't kill her, because she was out of the way. She got what she really wanted. And yet, all she could do now was wonder where she was, what she was doing, if she was alright…
Why do I fucking care?! Tammy demanded, clenching her fists hard as they shook, slamming one against the wall. SHE doesn't care! Why should I care?! She can die in a Goddamn gutter for all I care!
As Fonzie mentally argued back and forth with herself, she finally decided to reach over and grab the soap, lathering herself up with it. When she was done, she was about to grab the washcloth to start scrubbing herself down. However, before she could, she felt it begin to rub across her hip, causing her eyes to resemble saucers in width. At the same time, she felt a pair of breasts press against her back. Before she could turn around to face whoever was doing this, the cloth ran across her belly as the intruder rubbed it and her hands softly along the mobster's front.
"Does that feel good?" a familiar voice asked, causing Alfonso's heart to skip a beat.
"S-Starslip?!" Fonzie hissed, glancing over her shoulder to confirm the intruder's identity.
"Just relax, Tammy," Cassie purred in Alfonso's ear, causing the crime lord's nethers to moisten even more than the shower had done. "I wanna make you feel alllll better."
Did Alfonso let Cassie tend to her needs?
