You follow Jace, sword in hand.

You have sat around long enough. You need to fight. No matter what.

As soon as Jace leaves, you rise from the table and go to your room. You pull your new sword from it's hiding spot in your closet. As you inspect the blade, Yuna comes up behind you.
"What are you doing, Melly?" She asks.
"I am going out there." You reply.
"What!?" She says incredulously. "Are you crazy?"
"No, Yuna, I am not. In fact, I am as sane as I have ever been."
She doesn't seem to have a response.

As you step outside, you see Jace is looking down the road at something. There is an awful commotion going on, a few figures attacking another. Several others have stepped out of their homes to spy the noise. Jace looks back at you.
"I thought I told you to stay inside..." He says in a stern tone.
"What's going on?" You ask, ignoring him.
"Is that a sword? Where did you get that?"
You are about to lie through your teeth when you focus your vision and get a better look at the fight. Three big men are crossing swords with a younger girl. A girl with... Fox ears?
"Oh gods!" You say.
You take off down the road. Jace tries to grab at you, to no avail.
"MELL!"

It is indeed Neir.
She is in combat with a trio of large humans. They carry blades as big as they are. She is injured, clutching a dripping wound at her side as she is backed into a corner.
"You highland trash think you can just waltz into our lands, eh?!" One of them says gruffly.
"Yeah, snatching babies and stealing Gil?!" Says another.
The third just laughs.
You manage to get the drop on them, pulling your sword from its' sheath, tossing it aside and leaping up to skewer one of the men in the back. You miss all of his vitals but he still cries out in agony. Weak mortal trash.
"GAH!!!"
The two others turn to gawp at you as your target drops to his knees. You wrench your sword from the flesh of the dead meat just in time to block the downward swing of another of them. As the man pushes down in an attempt to break your guard, you kick him right between the legs. You are preparing to lop off his head when Jace appears and you stop your self.
"Good gods!" He says as he lays his eyes on the scene. "What is this?!"
The remaining man says "None of your business!"
"And what business is this girl to you, mongrel!?" You say to him with a growl.
"Longeared bitch! Thinks she can skulk around in our town?!"
You raise your blade, ready to kill him, before Jace draws his own sword.
"I would leave this place, lest I call the guard on you." He says, aiming the blade at the man.
The man scurries away.

You drop your sword and go to Neir.
"Are you okay?" You say.
"I'm alright, milady... No need to worry about me..." She says. It's a lie, clearly.
She can barely stand, **** to lean on her sword for balance.
She can only mumble out a "Ohhh..." before her legs give out and she slumps to the ground.
You yell at your father to help you carry her inside.
