Christmas with Michelle

Alexa was so excited. She was going to spend Christmas with Michelle her best friend since elementary school. They had a whole plan as Michelle would stay over at Alexa’s apartment. Alexa had it all decorated with a tinsel tree and LED Christmas lights. She even had a light up bear set up next to the tree holding some presents.

It was the Wednesday before Christmas and Alexa was fast asleep. Michelle was supposed to come over that day so that they’d have multiple nights together. There was only one problem that Alexa wasn’t sure about. Every time around Christmas, Alexa tended to regress a little bit. She would wet the bed, act childish, and it didn’t matter what she did to try and combat it. She also believed that Santa Claus was real.

No one proved otherwise and no one could convince her otherwise. Her parents had no reason to tell her the truth, and Alexa couldn’t believe that Santa Claus wasn’t real.

This would be the first Christmas without her family. And the first Christmas with her best friend.

Alexa smiled as she was fast asleep little did she know she was also soaking the sheets.
