What's next?
You selectively tell the truth
You glanced over your shoulder at the building for a moment to collect your thoughts, knowing full well that telling the complete truth would amount to kissing your future goodbye, especially with the amount of media issues and legal matters burying you for the next three decades. "I told Ms. Santos that I wanted to be challenged and felt that Ms. Card wasn't doing it for me anymore." The entendre there went over Jennifer's head, luckily, as she nodded in agreement. "She seemed rather happy to hear that, not sure entirely why..."
Jennifer nodded her head, satisfied with your response since it matched what she already knew from Sean and Lisa. "It's weird, though...I mean, I like Card but she's off this year. Wonder why?"
"Perhaps she's getting fucked too many times by Hansen to get sleep?" You intended this to be a snide, sarcastic remark but then, when you looked at her face, you realized that you let that secret out too soon. Her eyes went wide and she glanced around at your surroundings. "Oh...I guess you didn't know that..."
"The fuck I didn't!!!! Oh my god, how the hell...?"
"With the accident, she sort of bonded with my parents," you began to lie out of your ass, hoping that her lack of really talking with you these past few years had dullened her ability, when you two were much closer in elementary, to pick out your bullshit. "I went to check in and drop off something for mom and saw him stumbling out of her place. Must've been 7 in the morning?"
"Holy shit...that explains it..." She looked back at the building and laughed a bit before turning around. "Figured you all wrong, Connors. You continue to surprise me."
You were about to ask her if she had any plans for the afternoon when you noticed her face suddenly darkening and you turned in place to glance at Allison standing there, glaring at you. "Shit..."

The Ultimate Transplant
Someone you know is given a new body & life
PLEASE ADD CHAPTERS! A close friend or family member is horribly injured in an accident. As they lay dying in the emergency room, another patient dies of a brain aneurysm. Both of them are organ donors, so a surgeon decides it's the perfect opportunity for him to try an experimental surgery. He transplants the victim's higher brain (the cerebellum) to the donor's body in an attempt to 'save' a life. Amazingly it works. But the surgery was not approved so the hospital convinces the families to keep quiet, arguing that revealing this operation to the public would bring never-ending media attention to all involved. That means that the patient will have to publicly assume the identity of the donor. What will this mean to your friends and family? Who else will you tell? Although you will spend a lot of time and effort giving support, how will all this alter your relationship to the patient? And how will he or she adapt to a complete change of body and identity? Many transformation stories focus on the change or victim, so I thought it would be interesting to instead have the POV be someone who sees the change from the outside. Writers feel free to explore a change in age, gender, class or ethnicity - and the repercussions that change would have on the main character (and others).
