MAIN Sara explores
Day 85
Sara and Olivia had spent the last two days exploring the third floor. On the first day, Karen had also helped out. But after seeing how dusty the third floor was and that it was mostly furniture and clothes, two things it had no interest in, it declined to help further. Unlike on day one the two now had thick-soled shoes, were clothed head to toe, with masks, and camping lanterns to go along with flashlights. Even during the day many of the rooms had no windows and were completely dark.
Sara had been doing research on the internet the night before and was pretty sure that most of what was stored there was one or two hundred years old. It was almost entirely junk and might be worth something to collectors but was worthless to Sara. She did find some interesting clothes and had found an amazingly comfy chair which was now in her room but otherwise, this quest was a bust. Although it did delay the dreaded interview with Jennifer.
As Sara entered one of the windowless rooms furthest from the lone staircase leading to the third floor she kicked against something heavy and it fell with a series of thuds. Olivia rushed to the room as Sara pointed her flashlight down at the floor. Several long thin leather pouches lay strewn on the floor. It looked like they had been stacked up against the wall and Sara had kicked them over. She reached down and lifted one up, it was surprisingly heavy. As she felt the smooth old leather Olivia had found them and had picked up a pouch of her own.
Sara heard a distinctive sound. Olivia had found the opening at one end of the pouch and drew back the sword inside from its scabbard a foot or so. Sara aimed her flashlight at it and the metal flashed the beam back at her.
"Jennifer would love these, it goes with her whole medieval motif," Sara said as Olivia pushed the sword back into the scabbard and then removed the leather case that had protected it all these years. The scabbard itself had seen better days and looked very old. But between the leather and the scabbard and oil, the blade itself was as good as new.
Olivia set it down and picked up another to see if it too was in good shape saying, "No... I have a memory... From one of the guys, of a movie he saw once. It wasn't important so it is unclear. But soldiers who rode horses during the Civil War used these." She quickly and clumsily drew the slightly curved blade and held it straight out in front of her. "They drew their swords like this and would charge holding them out in front of them." Sara took three steps back. Olivia was so focused on her memory, that she had almost dismembered Sara when she swung the sword out in front of her.
"Just put it away, we don't have any use for those things." Sara was still backing up when her back hit against the wall, then she fell through the wall.
"Wooooh," Sara cried out as she landed hard on her butt. Olivia dropped the sword and scabbard onto the other one she had looked at making a loud metallic clang and rushed to Sara. A section of the wall had opened up and Sara had fallen into a narrow space between the walls.
"Oh wow, I thought I was falling through the floor for a second there. This place is falling apart." Sara said in relief.
Olivia had picked up the lantern Sara had brought in to light the room and was now using it and her flashlight to examine the wall Sara had fallen through and the space she was in.
"I don't think so Sara, this is made to open up like this." She pointed the flashlight beam at the section that had moved. It was perfectly cut and had no rips in the old wallpaper on the wall section. Olivia helped Sara up and then pulled the section closed. The wall looked perfect, it was as if Sara had never fallen through.
Olivia pushed on it and it opened again, she stepped inside saying, "This was made to be like this. It is narrow but I can fit easily." She looked back at Sara who wasn't as thin. "Don't worry you'll fit fine. It would suck for Cory or Billy though." With that, Olivia held up the lantern and walked down the narrow passage.
The two spent the next hour slowly moving through the winding passage between the walls of the third floor. They weren't familiar enough with the layout of the floor to know where they were. And after fifteen minutes the passage ended at a narrow set of stairs going down. They decide not to go too far today and spent the next forty-five minutes working their way back. They tried to find more openings as they went along and found three more. Two opened into rooms they had already explored and the third opened to the back of a large armoire that blocked the exit. If there were any peepholes or other ways to look into the rooms they didn't notice them. The whole floor of the house was mostly dark and the wallpaper was covering any cracks or possible openings that they did find.
Once back in the room that they started in Olivia carefully returned the two swords to their scabbards and leather pouches and carried them to the exit.
"Don't take those, we don't need them," Sara said with a bit of concern thinking about how Olivia nearly cut her arm off with one.
"I'll be careful. Besides I just want to figure out how to keep them from rusting. Something tells me if I just put them away like this that they will. I was the one that fiddled with them so I need to be the one to put them back right."
Sara just shook her head and let it go. Olivia stashed the swords in the large armoire in Sara's room for the time being. Olivia shared a room with two others and didn't want them messing with the swords and accidentally hurting someone.
Day 86
Candy sipped her freshly brewed coffee and looked out the huge window that looked out on the lake. She had figured out why people came to this seemingly empty part of the state the first morning after she had given Angela her...a monster of her own. Candy paused as she reflected on how she had almost thought that she had given Angela her 'precious gift'. Was her monster silently creeping into her mind? She kicked the leg of a nearby heavy table, hard. Her monster yelped in her head. and she thought, "Don't go sneaking around in there. I defiled Angela, she was a great lady and now she's a monster like you."
Candy took another sip of coffee and sat at the table. Angela knew all about the finer things in life and yet had decided to spend most of her time in this large old house overlooking this beautiful lake. Candy's mind got back on track as she watched a kayak glide through the water of the lake. It was so far away she couldn't make out any details but for the first time since she had met Crissy, no the first time in a long time, Candy felt calm and serene.
Angela sat down in the chair beside Candy, she was wearing a silk robe and sandals, and she had a cup of her own. "It's gorgeous isn't it?" she said looking out the window. "When my late husband Walter first took me here it was so he could hunt and fish. He worried that I would be bored, but when it came time to go I didn't want to leave."
Candy glanced over at Angela, she had thought Angela was in her late forties when they first met. It turned out that the woman was 54 but she would never be able to tell looking at her. A corner of Candy's mind thought how much better she would look in a month or two after her Master had improved her body. Candy quickly dismissed the image, she liked Angela just the way she was. Angela was old enough to be Candy's mother and in a way she did seem to be a motherly woman, but Candy already looked at her as a friend. Candy had never bonded with anyone so quickly or deeply before. When she first saw Angela walking into the diner she thought of her as fuck toy number ten, now she would forever be just Angela.
Angela went on telling Candy about her past life, "My husband owned several houses. Some near cities, some in the country, even one in Europe. I sold them all after he died, all but this one and the family house in Long Island. I may own that house legally but it really belongs to his family, not me." As much as Candy had enjoyed looking out at the lake she now turned to look at Angela, not to focus on her but just to admire her.
"That family is the surprise I told you about," Angela said getting up from the table and walking to the fireplace, it had a line of pictures in frames on the mantle. Angela picked up one and walked back to Candy with it. Angela handed it to Candy and sat back down. "Those are my nieces Fawn and Dawn. Walter's sister's two oldest, I invited them over and they should get here sometime tonight." Candy looked at the picture, the two girls in it were about her age and obviously twins. Angela went on, "They are older now. That picture is at least ten years old. Their mother sent it to me and I put it up with the rest like Walter would have. I haven't seen them in several years, they are insufferable and could use a little discipline in their lives. We will both be ready to spawn tomorrow night and I thought you might enjoy them, but I wanted you to meet them before you decided. You may decide that they aren't worth having around." Candy looked at the picture more closely. The two were blonde, thin, cute, and looked like they would make great members of the gang, she wondered what the catch was.
Later in the afternoon, the twins called Angela to let her know that their plane was landing. That meant at least two or three hours until they arrived. Angela and Candy agreed that this was a good time to make love. Angela was like no other lover Candy had ever had. Candy had had to **** herself on Angela to convert her, Angela had no interest in women sexually up till then. But now she applied herself with a passion. When making love to Angela she was like a human velvet glove. She was soft and warm and made everything feel so much better. She knew how to focus 100% of herself on her lover and made Candy feel like the most desired person on the planet when they were together. Angela could bring Candy halfway to orgasm with just a look, a look that told Candy that at that moment she was Angela's whole world and only reason for being.
The two lay in bed after they had both satiated their monster's hunger for sex. As they lay there Candy felt compelled to say something to Angela, "You're different you know."
"Of course kitten, I am not just different, I am unique," Angela said grandly as she took a pause from her cigarette.
"Yes you are," said Candy, "But that isn't what I meant. The person I took over before you took almost 24 hours to convert. She fought and fought and is just a beast of a woman in bed now. Not that I am complaining, it makes for an interesting time with her. But you only climaxed once and were taken over completely. And you act almost the same as you did when I met you in the diner."
Angela took a long drag on her cigarette. She had met some of the others in Candy's little family of Masters and reflected on how they acted. "I see, you mean I'm not... not so boring? I don't talk as if I had to pay someone for every word I said?"
Candy laughed, "Close enough, I only knew two of them at all well before we put a worm in them. But they act unnatural, at least when they are together and not in public. You are the same woman I met the other day. Maybe even more wonderful."
Angela reached out a hand and stroked Candy's hair, "Oh darling, you were a stranger then, and a strange one at that. You looked at me like you were a shark and I was chum. I had my guard up even when I invited you here. I guess I was right to be wary of you... but that is the past now. since you gave me this gift of my Master we are family."
It was Candy's turn to be wary now, she knew that Master's would not tolerate a free host masquerading as a Master as she did. Still, she felt safe as Angela slowly stroked her head. "I'm not like that either. I... I am still mostly my own person. You seem that way too. And of all the people I saw taken you were taken by far the fastest and easiest."
Angela stopped stroking Candy's hair then and turned on her side to look at the girl directly. "Kitten, I was so frightened when you pushed me down on the sofa and kissed me. I have had some men be forceful with me before but the look in your eyes... The shark was there and I thought you were here to kill me not ravage me." She began stroking Candy's hair again as Candy turned her head to look Angela in the eyes.
Angela went on, "When that voice boomed in my head, 'I am your Master'. I told it that I was my own Master, we talked for what felt like several minutes but I suppose from what you were doing it was only seconds really. I accepted that my Master was a superior being that could control me and make me dance like a marionette on strings if it chose to. And it accepted that I am a superior human being, wise in the arts of conversation and seduction in ways that it never could be. So we agreed that it didn't need to be forceful and make me jerk around on its strings like those other poor creatures of yours. Darling, I control my body, I speak and it sits back and tells me what goals it needs me to achieve. Frankly, it spends most of the time imagining having sex with half the people I've ever met. That's how I remembered the twins." She tilted her head and looked deeply into Candy's eyes and said, "Kitten we just assumed you had a similar arrangement. You do, don't you?"
Candy felt her body tense. Angela's eyes seemed to be boring into her, reading her mind. Candy thought of the first time they had met, it was just a couple of days ago but it felt like months not days. She decided to take the gamble Angela had talked about then. "No Angela, my bargain is far different." Angela stopped stroking Candy's hair and pulled her hand back. "I control my body, I control everything. My... 'Master' is just a passenger, along for the ride. I learned how to control it, it seems they really hate pain. So our bargain is it helps me to act like a Master when I am around others, especially the main group. And I don't hurt it... much."
Angela closed her eyes and her body twitched slightly, once. She reopened her eyes and said, "Very well kitten, you were sent here to monitor Julie and you have served the Hive well, perhaps a little too well. Of course, I can't blame you. I know that we are not supposed to spread the Hive right now and yet I can't help but obsess about sticking a Master in Fawn or Dawn myself."
Angela reached out her hand again, this time she cupped one of Candy's breasts. "My Master is impressed with how far you have gone in perfecting your body. It agrees that you are serving the Hive, even in your current state. And it agrees to keep your secret as long as you continue to be a faithful servant of the collective and the Hive." Angela gave Candy a warm smile and gave her breast a loving squeeze.
"Now we must prepare for the twin's arrival. I have a dress for you that I think might fit. And we must do something with your hair, it is lovely but a little too wild." Angela climbed out of bed and clapped her hands together. "Don't dawdle kitten, we have work to do. You need to impress those two or they will be completely obnoxious with you."
Julie was jogging down a trail by the big hill near the lake. She stopped and looked up at the big house that overlooked the lake and imagined what it would be like living there instead of their crappy cottage. Julie started pumping her legs again jogging in place, she couldn't afford to cramp up out here so far from town. She turned and headed back the way she had come. It would take her over an hour to get home from here. She had found her runs to be exhilarating. Julie had been on the cross country team during middle school and her first two years of high school and had never let her body get out of shape. Now after a few days, she had once again gotten into gear and felt like she could run forever. As she moved away from the lake she wondered if she had gotten far enough away from the danger or if she would have to run forever.
