You took a deep breath and decided that you should act bravely and protect that girl who was trembling with fear next to you. You whispered to her to look for Dione, she shot you an impressed look, then without waiting for answers you came out of hiding and ran a little, screaming.

"Hey you idiots, it was me, I'm here!"

You thought you knew how to run well. You thought you ran fast. You thought you might even run away from those hunters. Big mistake.

They threw the bolas at you, they wrapped around your ankles and you quickly fell to that stone floor, scratching your skin. They celebrated the capture. They approached you, you tried to get rid of the bolas, but they were energized with magic and hurt your hand. They soon threw another one of the bolas and pinned her wrists. There was no way, you were captured. You were going to start begging them to let you go, but one of the guys soon gagged your mouth with a special kind of cloth.

"Who knew it would be so easy!" Said the guy who gagged you.

"Are you sure this boy is an Aldebaran?" One of the girls asked, with a look of confusion on her face as she looked at you, "I was expecting a seven-foot-tall brute of pure muscle. That boy over there...well, it's quite different from that."

"Wait guys, I recognize the little guy, isn't he the speaker?" One of the Markab rookies spoke up.

"Hey, it's true, it's the rookie with the best grades! Looks like we caught a big fish, huh?"

"Or a small fish" The third of the rookies chuckled, "look at the size of his dick!" He pointed at your penis.

The others laughed.

"Why is he naked?" The girl asked still laughing.

"I don't know, but that makes things more fun, right?" One of the boys laughed.

"He was with a Markab rookie before the house selection ceremony. Hey, that's not your girlfriend, is it?" Another one of the guys asked.

"What nonsense! The girl Killandas was flirting with? A girl like that wouldn't date a loser like this." replied one of the newbies.

"Anyway, it will be fun when she sees him like this!" They laughed again.

Unlike the others who seemed to be enjoying your suffering, the blue-haired elven girl approached you as if you were a helpless, freshly captured wild animal. She tried to touch her face with her hand, but you reflexively pulled away.

"Shhh, calm down..." she soothed and stroked your hair, "that's it...everything will be fine."

The other Markab looked at her as if asking what she was doing.

"I can't let you guys take this adorable creature to that ridiculous event." Said the elf girl firmly, still looking at you and not at them, as she stroked your hair.

"What?!" The others exclaimed, "Nielle, you know your brother ordered this, he chose us, it's a tradition."

"We've got an important guy for the Aldebarans, an important acquisition," said another, "this will bring us prestige in the Markab house, don't feel sorry for that ruminant."

"He... he's not like those brutes." The elf girl continued to speak.

"Excuse us, but we'll take him, whether you like it or not!"

The elf girl named Nielle shot them an irritated look.
