The Girls Go First

[Adva quickness: 1d20 + 3 = 20. Lali quickness: 1d20 +5 = 25. Cube quickness 1d20 - 3 = 4]

Lali blinks before saying bluntly under her breath: “Run.”

The two women take off back the way they’d come. Lali grabs Adva by the hand and pulls her down a side passage where they pause and wait for the cube to pass them by. As it does, they breathe a sigh of relief.

Adva starts back to the main tunnel but Lali stops her.

“We’ll be going right back into its hunting grounds if we go back. There has to be another way out.” She tugs Adva’s wrist to lead her down this new path.
