Recovery and Discovery

Adva lies on the cool stone, slowly getting her strength back. The vines have left her exhausted. She caresses her belly with one hand, feeling the fullness of her womb. The eggs growing inside her push against the walls of her uterus and she can feel the texture as she examines her body.

She can also feel something new. She can feel a new spark of magic within her. Slowly, she picks herself up from the ground and finds another pebble to cast light on. As the tunnel is illuminated, she sees that as the vines withdrew they revealed a recess in the wall. Inside, she finds a knife and belt. Grateful to have protection, she fastens the belt around her waist.

Now standing, she looks up and down the tunnel. The floor continues to slope up but she hears something in the distance.
