Stick with Sam

“Thank you for offering Rosie, but I think I’d like to see what there is to do up here.” You say politely to Rosie.

“Hey, it’s your loss. I’m going to have a great time learning so much down there. See you guys in a bit. I’m probably going to be immersed in history from thousands of years ago, but I’ll try to meet back up with you two in a timely manner.” Rosie says before jogging to the entrance to the sleeping area.

You quickly run over to Sam to see what she’s up to.

“Hey Arisu, how much you wanna bet I can get that man in bed with me?” Sam asks you, gesticulating at a tall man that exudes wealth who can’t be over 30.

“I’m not sure Sam,” you respond slowly, “Shouldn’t you wait until marriage for that stuff? My parents always said that I should save my dignity and my virginity until they find me a husband, and devote myself to him a bear him children, but other than that, sex is off limits. Don’t you feel the same way?”

Sam looks at you and laughs. “Oh Arisu… is that really how you want to live? So traditional! You get married to some random old guy and that’s it for life? My parents never gave a rat’s ass. So long as I wasn’t pregnant and didn’t have an STD, they were fine with whatever I wanted to do. The freedom is exhilarating! We’re going to find you a real man to fulfill your aching womanhood tonight!” Sam says determined.

“I thought that our voyage was ending before nightfall?”you say.
