Chapter 42

Tomorrow's challenge.
I hope it's interesting.
"I'm going to get destroyed." I'm blushing bright red. Mistress laughs out loud. "You don't have to." I scratch the back of my head, nervously shifting my legs. "Dress up as a girl and go to work... with a bonus challenge of 'talk about Mistresses boyfriend'." I rub my face. "They'll make fun of me forever." Mistress rubs my back, "I might've gone a little too far. It's okay." I shake my head, and pound my chest. "No. I will do it. I am a good cuck." Her eyebrows raise in surprise. "Really? Well, damn. Best of luck to you. Let me help you get ready."
My worries fade as I look at myself in the mirror. "They're not even gonna know it's me." I spin, looking cute as fuck in my little white dress. Mistress hands me something, a necklace. It's got a little spade on it with a 'J' on it. "The jack of spades is the male equivalent. I think with Theo, it serves you well." I blush, and put it on. "Yes ma'am." She smiles, kissing me. "You're beautiful." I blush even harder. A soft hug envelops me. "Good luck baby. You're gonna kill 'em all." I hug her back. A soft moment.
The drive to work is nerve wracking. I grip my dress as I enter the building.
"A-Alex?" A co-worker turns to me, standing near another co-worker's desk with a cup of coffee in hand. I blush brightly. "Y-Yeah? What's up man?" I stammer, squeezing the words out. Another co-worker leans back, his head appearing from behind a wall. "What's up- Oh my god." I look away awkwardly. "Is there a problem?" God, this was a bad idea. Everyone thinks I look bizarre. "Alex!?" I turn around. Kathy, the nice, middle aged lady who runs the front of the library appears behind me. "Is that you?" I nod. "Hey Kathy." She hurries over to me, "You look amazing! Oh my god!" Her smile is bright and full of life. My awkward face turns around, as warmth fills my cheeks. "Do you still go by Alex?" I tilt my head, "Yes, well-- sometimes. Alexis when I feel girly, but, I don't hold it against anyone. Either name works." The co-worker who leaned back shrugs and leans back into his office. The first co-worker I met, Dave, also shrugs. "I hope you don't mind that I'm going to not even remotely be able to process this in one day." He chuckles, I nod. "It's okay. I won't always be in like this. Just when I feel like it. I don't expect people to adjust right away." Kathy grabs my hand, "Well, Alexis, I for one am extremely happy to have you feeling comfortable here. We're here for you." A warm smile.
The day is otherwise pretty slow. Lunch has me a bit surrounded by the work ladies for once. "So, like, does Cassidy approve of this? Sorry, I know it's a little insensitive to ask like that..." I shake my head. "She's part of the reason I look as good as I do today." Another co-worker, "Wow! Must be nice to have such an open and honest relationship. Make sure you treat her right." I nod, remembering my other challenge. My face goes red, "Well, our lifestyle in general has transformed. I'm not the only one that's had some changes." I chuckle. Mary, one of our younger employees, a college student, pipes up, with a grin. "She got a necklace like that too?" I raise my eyebrows, and my face turns bright red. Another woman, "I was wondering about that. What does it mean, Mary?" Mary smiles, "It means that Alexis' little girlfriend has needs. Isn't that right?" I blush even brighter. "Look, I don't want to assail you with the intimate details of our relationship--" Another woman cuts me off, "Oh but we want to know. Curiosity and all that." I glance around, "You sure? I don't mind sharing, it's just kind of personal. I don't want to weird anyone out." My newfound friends reassure me. Mary, "I've told the girls a bit about my own lifestyle, so, they're not completely out of the loop." I nod, "Well, then... She has another boyfriend, but isn't cheating. I wanted this, and she wanted this." I state plainly. One of the women, "An open relationship?" I nod, "Kind of, just with more checks and balances. We don't do anything the other is uncomfortable with." One of the quieter women chimes in, "M-My husband asked me about this kind of thing. I find it nerve-wracking. On one hand it sounds kind of exciting, but on the other it makes me feel bad, dirty." I smile, "It's not for everyone, but I suggest simply doing research or asking myself. We've made it work wonderfully, but it's a difficult lifestyle to maintain at times. Communication is absolutely important." Mary smiles, "Mhm. I've been in a poly-amorous relationship since highschool. We've had plenty of bumps, but our lives are far richer for it." The quiet woman nods, "I see. What is her boyfriend like?" I smile, "He's wonderful. He's smart, has a good job, he's tall-- handsome. Got beautifully dark skin, and well, is physically very well equipped." I state plainly. She blushes and chuckles. "I-I see. She must enjoy this kind of lifestyle, then." I nod, "Absolutely."
I'm asked plenty of questions until the clock reminds us to get back to work.
I sleepily check emails near the end of the day. Not enough time to work on projects, too much time left to just up and leave. "Alexis." A quiet voice from behind. The woman from earlier. "Oh, Lana, sit down." I smile. She does so, blushing. "I uh, I've been doing that research and I have some questions, is that okay?" I nod, "Of course!" She exhales, reassured. "Good." She flips through her phone, "So, Cassidy, does she love him? Like romantically?" I nod, "Yes, of course." A confused look, "Does she love you?" I nod again, laughing. "Yes! She loves us both." A nod, "You're okay with that?" I tilt my head, "At first I wasn't sure, but that-- I learned, was just my incorrect perspective. Love isn't linear, society is." She nods, "Interesting." I continue, "I've had to fight against my preconceived notions on sex, romance, and relationships. It's made me a much happier, more fulfilled person." Lana smiles warmly, "You seem different. Warmer." Aww, she's sweet. "S-Second, you mentioned dark skin. Is it true that, well..." I blush, and nod. "Yes. At least in my experience. Statistics show that such a difference is not as disparaging on a grander basis, but the difference is still there. I am, plainly put, not enough for her in that way. Daniel is." Her face is as bright as a tomato. "...My husband is small." She giggles, "I was curious." I laugh quietly, "Well, Daniel is over eight inches." Her eyes widen in complete shock. "I don't think that would even fit!" She proclaims. "Neither did Mistress, but now she can't imagine anything smaller." Her face pops even redder, something I thought impossible. "M-Mistress!?" I realize what I said out loud and blush brightly as well. "S-Sorry, it's what I--" She giggles, nudging my shoulder. "You are so intense now! What happened to that quiet nerdy guy!" A warm, embarrassed smile. I scratch my head. "Regardless, it fills her needs just right." Lana nods, "Is she okay with sharing? I imagine you trust this guy. I was talking to my husband, and he's very interested." I tilt my head, "Well, they're pretty clingy, but she's had him, uh, show other women this lifestyle before as well. Gets off on the idea of having such a hot, desirable partner." Lana nods, "I'm very shy, but, it does sound exciting. Ask Cassidy for me, okay?" I nod, "You're pretty intense too, aren't you?" She blushes, "Mary has talked about this before already... I've had time to think." I chuckle, "I'll ask her as soon as I get home. Give me your number." She does so, then the clock dings-- time to head home.
Time to explain my interesting day.
