Chase after the figure

You dash along the road to where the figure ran into the brush and look in after it. The woods off to the side of the road is sparse enough to be traversable, but there is some dense undergrowth, and plenty of room for something dangerous to be hiding even in full daylight.

Convinced whatever ran away from you is up to no good at all, you leap into woods with no hesitation, weapon drawn.

Immediately you realize how much darker it is amongst the trees. You look around, up at the branches and away into the deep woods. There is neither hide nor hair of the creature you pursued, and now suddenly you’re not sure what direction the road is in.
