Abbie and Jake finish dinner

"What did you think of them? Of Michelle and Chris?" Jake asked after swallowing his last bite of steak.

Abbie turned and craned her neck, but couldn't see to the bar from her seat. She shrugged. "They seemed pleasant enough. Maybe a little like us -- she was fun and cheery and he was dry and aloof."

"You think I'm dry and aloof?" Jake was put out. "Come on, Abbie, I am not -- okay, you're right. But only when I'm around new people. You're so good at this, you work in PR, plus you're just naturally fun."

"Jake, you're a lot of fun! I'm pretty much the most awesome person I know and I'm choosing to spend most of my time with you. If you're not going to be fun, tell me now so I can find someone new to hang out with."

Jake put a hand up. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. We had ourselves a serious talk, and now that sounds a little too ultimatum-y."

Abbie smiled. She leaned over the table and put her hand on his. "Don't worry, Jake. I promise everything is still 100% okay." She patted his hand. "Just be fun!" She smiled and winked at him.

"Just be fun," Jake repeated. "Okay, let's be fun. My way of being fun, with you, most of the time, is going to be figuring out different ways to have sex with you. Does that sound fun?"

Abbie wiggled in her seat and squealed a little. "You know it does!"

"Well, with that in mind, we have plenty of options. I've got a few ideas ... but I'm not going to tell you what they are yet."

Abbie got even more excited. "Jake! You're such a tease!"
