A Crystal

"I-is that... no way!" Asami jumps up and starts jumping around excited and giggling. I look back to my hand, now holding a purple crystal. It has a smooth lower base and jagged spikes jutting out as it grows to the top. I look in the box for anything else but find nothing. I use Observe on it.

Domain: Amethyst, Legendary

This crystal has been infused with immense magical power. This allows it to create and sustain its very own Dungeon, referred to a domain. It acts as the key to enter and only the one linked with it can use it to go in and out. The crystals color indicates what type of domain it will be. It has been linked with Eric, and will only allow them to use it.

"W-WHAT! " I shout jumping out if my seat and startling Asami. "S-sorry Asami."

"I-it's fine don't worry." She replies stepping over to me. "A-anyway did you use your Observe skill on it?" I nod and tell her what I found out making her exited again.

"So you know what this is?" I ask her. She starts nodding.

"Like you said its a Domain Crystal. Think of it as a dungeon but instead of requiring mana to sustain it fuels itself. And its like a home! And its linked to YOU! I-I mean I knew you are awesome but this is just!" She starts giggling again

"So do you know who sent this?" My question causes her to stop.

"O-oh sorry, I forget. No one did. The crystals always find and link themselves to those they deem worthy. Like, I heard from Falvo that his guild master got one from the supermarket shelves." She says still smiling. "A-any way can we go in? Pleassssse!" She begs me. I pat her head before talking.

"Okay, your lucky your cute." She blushes before grabbing my arm and hugging it tightly. I hold the crystal up and nothing happens. "H-how do I use it?"

"S-sorry, again. You need to cast your Create Dungeon spell but instead of using mana and creating a dungeon we'll be put inside your Domain." I nod my head and cast Create Dungeon. The world around us disappears and a new one slowly forms. After a few seconds we're standing in the middle of a wooden shack. I look around and take it all in. I see a wooden door, a few windows on each wall, a two person bed, a empty bookshelf, a stone fireplace and a table with three chairs against a wall. "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!" Asami shouts running to a small pillar about as tall as my lower chest a few feet from the fire place and walls. "Eric come here!" I walk over to her and look at what she found. On top of the pillar is 8 of what look to be small circular slots. I feel Asami grab my hand and move it to touch the pillar. The next moment I see the wall of it open up and a blue screen about one foot tall and half that wide. Its screen is currently empty. "Do you know what this means Eric!" She asks turning excitedly to me and the moment she sees my confused face she starts apologizing. "S-sorry, I got to exited. This is a Domain Pillar, it allows you to control your domain. But right now it does nothing. Its really good to have one and from what I've heard its about a 50% chance to get it. However these 8 slots up here are for Domain Essence. That allows you to customize your Domain. For example, a Nature Essence could create a forest or a Water Essence could create a river or ocean. Oh and these can be removed anytime. I just freaked out so much because normally there's only 4, I've never heard of one with 8. Although I also haven't hear about any other Domains aside from Falvos."

"So what do you mean by create forests?"

"Hmm. Oh! Follow me outside." She rushed to the door tugging on my arm. When we step outside I understand what she was talking about. I see a small dirt pathway going from the front door down to a wooden fence. The fence is made from wood looking like large branches tied together onto other sticks going into the ground. On the other side of the fence is nothing. Just a flowing darkness. No starts or moon. Asami walks over to it. "This is what I meant. There's nothing here yet. You can add stuff with Essences but until then the house is it. N-not that its bad, I'd actually prefer staying here." She's muttering the last part.

"Hmm, why's that? Is there something you like about this place?" I ask looking around.

"Y-you could say that. Um so when you want to leave you cast Exit barrier with the Crystal but you can mark a place in the real world as a linked exit, then when leaving you can leave to the linked exit or where you entered at. So you could mark the apartment and enter here when your done with your s-shopping next time you can just e-enter it s-so we could be t-together faster." She's beat red saying this. I smile and open up some new notifications.
