Maybe Not

I walk into the supermarket and grab a shopping cart. I walk down the aisles and grab various bags and boxes of food. After a while I get to the freezer section with a cart mostly full. While grabbing some frozen beef I see a woman walking towards me. She's wearing a trench coat, which is what caught my attention. When I look at her face I see long purple hair going down to below her shoulder. Yes, PURPLE hair. Her eyes are glowing a bright purple. She's walking to me looking right at me. I want to turn and leave but there's something in me that wont let me. She's a few feet from me when I'm able to look away from her eyes, and start turning away. I take a step and feel her hands grab my shoulders and turn me around to face her. I see her glowing eyes looking into mine, joy filling them and the biggest smile I've ever seen on her lips. Tears start streaming down her face. She start to say something but all I can hear is staticky and distorted. I try to use Observe on her.

I start to pull away and the moment I do she vanishes. I look around and can't see her. I stand there for a few moments until I notice my mail icon.

What... the... fuck... I think to myself. I finish shopping and pay pulling 204$ out of my inventory by reaching into my pocket. Storing the food in my inventory in an alley by the store exit, after using Sense Presence to make sure no one was watching. I sit on the floor of the alley and finally let my thoughts go wild. Who was that woman? Observe didn't work on her. Why? Is she 5 times my level? Or is it something else. While my thoughts are racing someone walks up to me.
