"Yeah, what about?"

"So, Eric can I ask you something?" Asami asks.

"Yeah, what is it?" I say while sitting down next to her. We're sitting on the side of a single person bed. Its has a grey sheet and blanket over it.

"Why... why are you so nice to me?" She asks not looking at me. I see her looking down to her knees. "S-sorry I know this is out of the blue but I... its important to me." She continues still not looking up.

"What do you mean why? Is there any reason I shouldn't be?" I ask confused.

"Well its just... okay, in the world of the Lyna us beast men are generally treated as slaves or objects, my old master was no different. In fact the barrier you stumbled into with him was the first time in years I was allowed to leave his domain." She starts shaking pausing for a moment to calm herself. "And you've been nothing but nice to me and I just don't know why, it feels like a dream." We both stay silent for a moment.

"Well." I start. "Todays my first as a Lyna so I didn't know that. And even if I did I wouldn't have treated you any different. I don't know what others do or why but you don't seem like a bad person to me. Besides you taught me how to leave the dungeon so I do owe you one." She starts crying and presses her face into my chest. I put my arm around her and just hold her for a while.

"Thank you!" She says repeating it over and over again. I chuckle and she suddenly sits back up looking at me with her face flushed red with tears and pouting causing me to laugh harder. "H-hey I'm being serious here!" She almost yells out angry.

"Sorry, I know its just, its to fun teasing you like this, seeing your cute reactions." I tell her putting my hands up. I see her turn around in embarrassment and decide to head out. "Anyway I'm sure your hungry, I know I am so I'm going to go make something to eat. Go ahead and settle yourself in, or feel free to explore. Ill let you know when I'm done." I walk out shutting the door behind me and walking down the hall into the kitchen with a smile. I look at the kitchen clock and am shocked at the time. "Almost 5pm already, time flies when you almost die huh." I say to myself. I look into my fridge to find something to make. "Its almost time to go shopping huh. I should ask Asami if she'll want anything." I find some beef and a box of hamburger helper. I start cooking the beef and notice I have a new notification. I almost burn myself, nearly tossing the pan, when I read it.
