Chapter 1: Witch hunt(Part 1)

When you finally got some feeling around your head, you felt that you can finally open your eyes. You slowly **** them open to find out that you was in some kind of cave. There were some lit torches narby, giving you barely any light to see. "Huh? Where am I?" He asked himself while looking around. All he saw was empty darkness.

"Hello? Is anyone there? Ow...my fucking head...." You rubbed the spot where you felt it, feeling some hair there, though you just passed it off as your hair moving downward. Seeing that you don't see any obvious exits, you places your arms out, feeling a wall. You started moving around, trying to feel your way around the area.

I got to find something to get out of here. A door, movable wall, anything." You said to yourself, carefully feeling around the space. "Why is it so dark here, And why's the ground so wet?" as you asked this, you also felt your hands were strange, like they were covered in hair and insides were more round. You wwe confused at that feeling, but put that aside as you focused on finding a way out.

Soon enough, you noticed a weak looking Boulder and tried to move it. "Ugh, damn it!" You grunted, finding it quite heavy. You placed both hands firmly on the boulder and pushed as hard as you can, feeling it move ever so slightly.

As this happens you try to recall what happened. 'Okay, I headed out. Went to a game store, found a game that looked interesting, bought it, went home, put it in, filled my character, hit yes, there was a weird glow-'

You paused as you remembered what happened after that. 'No... No no, it can't be...' You thought to yourself as you can see some light forming out through the cracks. Soon you were able to move it out of the way enough for you to slip through the crack.

You can see that you're in a wide open space within the cave, with the sun shining above some cracks above him. "Phew, I can see the outside! Wait, outside?!" You look up and saw that the you were indeed in a cave, there were some stones with moss covering them while on the ground, there were dirt and grass around.

"Weird..." he then prepared to rub his eyes to open them more. Before he can do that, he caught sight of his hands and his eyes widened. Instead of furless human hands, his hands resemble that of a cat. furry on the back while having pads on the front of them. Your eyes moved downward and you gasped when you saw your arms are covered in royal blue fur.

"Weirder..!" You then place your paws on your face and jolted when you felt fur on your face as well. "T-This is the character I created for the game! I-I-I..." he stuttered in disbelief. "I'm in Eraquest!" You got up and noticed that you had a bag on your side. When you opened it, you saw various stuff in it. "How is this possible? Was that game cursed or something?! There's no way this wouldn't be known."

You took a look at your shield and saw that it was reflective, so you stare at your reflection of your new feline appearance. "T-This is too freaky. It's one thing to make a character you like to be, but this?!" You stutter, shaking a little. "How would I supposed to know I would turn into a cat?!"

You thought of an idea and reached your paw to your cheek, pinching it hard. "Ouch!" you cried out as you winced from the pain. Seeing as nothing changed. "Well that didn't work." You sigh as you got up, getting your weapon.

"Okay, this is a video game. It's a video game. This happened because you started the game. You finish the game, you'll be let out. Beat the game to go home!" You stating, trying to psych yourself up. "That's what I can do." You said as a mysterious thought came to your head.

"Hmm, this is either a glimpse in the future tutorial before going into the past, or something will happen and drain our power till we're level 1." William guessed taking a look into a bag and taking out a scroll. 'I hope I did not just myself saying that.'

You shake your head as you opened the scroll. It introduced him by his name and listed a task for them to do. 'Must be the quest mission.' You thought to yourself before recalling the name. 'Wait what? That's not the name I chosen for my character! Did the name changed because I'm in it now?!' You shake your head at that thought as you look over what you were supposed to be doing.

"It seems there will be potions that can increase my level further. It should be within this cave, and..." You look at the map for the progress, and sees you're near the end. "I'm getting close." You look at the map which showed where you started, what paths you took, to where you ended up. "And the reason I was in that hole was because it seems my characters fell into some pitfall trap and had to push out beforehand." You said, looking at the written journal.

You fold the map up, closed your journal and place them back in your pack. "At least it wasn't a spike pit trap." You stated, chuckling with a smile, but then you felt a shudder run down your spine when you thought about the last part more. 'Shit, I hope I don't die for real if my hp hits zero.' you thought to yourself as you saw a pathway to the right side of the area, which leads towards the destination on your map. You take a deep breath and take out your sword. "Alright, let's do this..." You said to yourself, stepping through the opening.

As you move through the passage, you came across a small room. He take a moment to look around, but doesn't see anything of interest.

"Huh, what's the point of this room?" you asked yourself before noticing an arrow lunging towards you . You barely brought the shield out to block it before a group of goblins jumped out in front of you. There were 3 in total, wearing leather armor and rusted swords and small axes. Each of them smirked and looked ready for battle.

'Okay, maybe I can calm them down." You raised your arms up in a non-threatening gesture. "H-hey there fellas, don't mind me, just passing through.." you spoke up, trying to smile. "No need to start something, am I right?"

They didn't speak, instead lunged at you, weapons high. While their attacks connect, their impact had the same feeling of a child bopping you with a stick. Their rusted weapons don't really do so much damage: only 2 to 4 points of damage due to the your upper level and strong gear.

You recall that you had the scan ability and used it on them. They're only at level 5 compared to their level 50 characters. "At least they're weak. I can take em.." You assured yourself, charging towards the horde with his sword. The blade cleaved one goblin in half before it vanished into dust.

The other two tried attacking again, but you dodged their attacks. You stepped forward and used a side swing, slashing at them both and making them disappear.

"Hehe, piece of cake." William chuckled, putting his weapon away. "I mean, I know this is serious, but I wouldn't mind a little challenge."

You look and noticed some copper coins on the ground where the goblins were vanquished. "But hey." You pocket the coins, "This was self-defense." With that, you headed down past the room you fought in.

After a little while, you entered a large room where it's empty other than a vial of light blue liquid in the center of a stone table.

William sighs as he walks towards the potions. "This feels like this isn't gonna go the way things are supposed to go. The smarter option would be to leave, but clearly I have to follow the plot or I'll never get home." you take the potion with your cute cat beans and examines it, then you slowly take off the cork, a loud *POP* sounded through the room.
