Politely decline

“It’s very kind of you to offer” you reply delicately, “but you really don’t need to go into the trouble, I’m sure that me and Dew can handle ourselves just fine.”

“Are you sure?” Jane asks, a concerned look on her face.

“Positively, you don’t have to worry about us” you flash her an easy smile, and the woman relaxes slightly.

“Well, alright, I’ll trust you, but if you need help just come to me.” You give her a polite nod, before heading back into the bedroom to get dressed.

The fact that you turned down the offer has made the whole situation a bit awkward, and Dew’s slowly moving closer to the door. “Well, I think we should be off now, we’ve got a lot of shit to do today” you say, looking at Vinca with a smile. The woman gives you a wink in return, but Jane has a peeved expression.

“Well, I ain't gonna be keeping you then” she says curtly, “no use saying goodbye for thirty minutes.” As it turns out, the goodbye takes about that long, as Dew and Matilda spend a lot of time saying goodbye while essentially chatting as you stand there awkwardly, tapping your foot by the door.

Eventually, the two girls say their final goodbyes with a hug. Your brain has almost turned off by this point, but it switches back on again as you notice Matilda’s hands working their way down Dew's backside, almost to her ass. Hmm, interesting.

In any case, the two of you do leave, Matilda standing at the door to wave goodbye. There’s a lot of waving, but you do eventually manage to drag Dew away, sighing in relief now that you’ve escaped that awkwardness.

Dew looks somewhat mopey, though. “What’s the problem?” you ask.

She shakes her head. I’m worried about what my mom will get up to, Jane wasn’t lying when she called her a bit loopy.”

“She can’t be that bad.”

“Yes she can” Dew replies, “she could make you look bad, well” Dew pauses for a second, “she will make you look bad, it’s just a question of how bad.”

“I’m sure it’ll be fine” you reply, waving her off. You’ve never seen Xana do anything that bad, well, except for the whole ‘flipped out when you fucked Dew first’ thing, and the fact that she used sex toys without consent, and the fact that she-

“So, what are we doing next?” you ask, trying to change the subject. Dew pulls the set of papers out from her dress, where she’s apparently been keeping them all this time. They don’t even look wrinkled.

“Hmm” she thinks aloud for a second, “we could try for Nina, she’s the town guard. She’s also a cat-person.”

“I take it she’d be upset about the fake cat ears”

“Yes”

“Right”

“There’s also Fiorella” Dew remarks, pointing out an image of a woman in a grand red dress, “she’s the richest person in town, so she’d be an asset.” Dew points to one final paper, which has a harried-looking dwarven woman on it. “And there’s also Akvi, the town librarian. Your choice, really.”

You look over the images, taking in the amazingly lifelike depictions of the women. You can’t read, so really you’re going off visuals here, and in the end you decide to pick…
