What's next?

A Curious Ms. Hawthorne

"Holy shit dude, do you know what this means! Just think of everything we - I mean you can do!"

I grabbed my bag and stood with Nate following suit. Most of the class had already left, and we shuffled behind the stragglers on the way out. Ms. Hawthorne was putting some things in her purse at the teacher's desk when we walked by, and she looked up at us when we passed.

"Wait a minute." She held a hand out to me and I froze. "I want to talk to you about your last assignment."

I glanced back over to Nate, who returned a tiny shrug. "Meet up with me later! We need to talk about...well all of this." He awkwardly held up his textbook when Ms. Hawthorne eyed him.

Nate scurried out after everyone else and the door closed shut behind him, leaving me and Ms. Hawthorne alone. I cleared my throat nervously and turned back to my teacher.

"So, uh, what did you want to talk about?"

"Well first off, I wanted to thank you for actually turning your last assignment in on time."

"Oh yeah, well, no problem! I'll try to make a habit of it." I grinned stupidly.

There was no way she knew that I was the one who had just lifted her skirt, right? She did not say anything for a moment, and just seemed to study me. I shuffled awkwardly and then she spoke.

"Do you know anything about what happened earlier?"

"Uh, earlier?" I tried to sound dumb. It was not hard.

"With the...wind and my skirt? The second time I thought I felt...well I noticed you were giving me an odd look."

"An...an odd look?" I tried to sound confused and innocent.

Ms. Hawthorne looked a bit confused herself, but she continued anyways. "I've felt the wind between my legs many times. It never did anything like that. Do you know what it was?"

"Not, uh, wind?" I gave her doubtful look. "What else could it be?" I laughed nervously.

She once again just stood there silently studying me. If she kept this up I might actually start sweating! Actually, I think I already was. Finally, she shook her head and walked back around the desk to grab the rest of her belongings.

"You're right, it's probably nothing." I began to let out a quiet relieved sigh when she suddenly looked back up at me. "That being said, if you have any...insights...on what caused that, let me know. I'd be curious to learn a bit more."

This made me pause. Was she not mad? There was no way she could know that it was me, right?

"Yeah, sure thing!" I should have turned and left right then, but something seemed to be stopping me. "Ms. Hawthorne, if it didn't feel like wind...what did you feel?"

"I thought I felt...a hand." Ms. Hawthorne spoke slowly as she watched me closely.

"A...a hand? Ms. Hawthorne, no one touched you that I saw."

"I know." She spoke slowly as if judging my reaction. "So what else could it have been?"

I opened my mouth to lie, to mislead her somehow, but I stopped myself. What if I told her? What was she going to do, write me up for having superpowers? Then again, I would have to admit to groping her with my mind...

"What if...I had done it? Somehow."

Ms. Hawthorne was staring directly into my eyes now.

"If you had...If you somehow managed to lift my skirt and grab my ass from thirty feet away...I'd at least like to know how you did it."

I could hear a few voices gathering outside the door as people arriving early for the next class were waiting to get in and grab their seats. I glanced over to the exit then back to Ms. Hawthorne, her eyes never left me.

"If, hypothetically, I did do that...I would also like to know how I did it."

Ms. Hawthorne took a small step back as a look of slight confusion crossed her face.

"I don't understand."

"Something weird is happening to me..." I rubbed the back of my neck and looked back to the door. "Sorry if I embarrassed you, I don't know what I'm doing and got carried away...uh, hypothetically."

Ms. Hawthorne's eyes widened slightly as she seemed to realize that I had just confirmed her suspicions.

"Anyways, I should really get to my next class." I quickly muttered and turned to make for the door.

"Wait." She called out.

I paused mid-step. To my surprise, she did not sound angry, and when I glanced back she looked almost intrigued. Or was it amused? She considered me for a moment before a slight smirk teased at the corner of her lips.

"No...nah." She laughed and turned back to her desk and began to pack up her things, waving her hand as if to dismiss me. "You almost had me there for a minute, I'll be honest! That was just the wind."

I let out a very long internal sigh of relief. At least I hoped it was internal. Great! Now I could leave and no one but me would be the wiser. Well, no one but me and Nate, but that was fine for now. I turned and strolled out of the classroom to go about my day. Except for some reason I was not doing that. I had stopped at the door and turned back to my professor. Something about what she had said felt like a challenge. Wait, no, don't be stupid...

"Hey Ms. Hawthorne." She looked up from what she was doing with a smile. "Ever felt the wind do this?"

Her eyes widened in surprise as her long skirt suddenly shot up her legs to bunch around her waist before she jumped with a gasping yelp as an invisible hand audibly smacked her ass.

"Wha..." She stumbled a few steps back as her skirt began to slide back down her thighs under the **** of gravity.

The back of her thighs bumped into her chair and her head whipped back to confirm that there was no behind her who had just lifted her skirt and spanked her. She quickly looked back to me with wide eyes blinking rapidly as she tried to process what had just happened.

"What...you...that's not..." She shook her head and tried to gather her wits as she processed everything.

"See you around!" I chirped as friendly as I could before quickly dashing out of the classroom before she came to her senses and murdered me.

A few people out in the hall gave me a glance as I quickly rushed down the hall to the staircase before scrambling down as nonchalantly as I could. I let out an involuntary laugh as I made it to the front doors of the building and stepped out into the sun. I had no idea what the hell was happening to me, but maybe I could have a little fun finding out.
