There were two items on my table: an invoice on my rent three weeks past due, and a newspaper opened to the help wanted section. I had a job, but I wasn't exactly great with money, and right now I needed some quick cash.
Any ad that read something like 'NEED CASH NOW' caught my eye, and even though the more critical part of me knew that most of those want-ads were bogus, I was at the end of my rope. I had to try something.
The first on the list? A medical guinea pig. Well, let's see.
Medpharmaco is looking for individuals to test a new headache medicine! Migraine sufferers are welcome, but not required--various health-profiles are accepted for this broad study, and even most healthy able-bodied males or females over 18 are welcome to apply.
The only headache you recently had was the one you got from looking at your account balance, but it seemed like they might take just about anyone...
