Chapter 264 by Johnrocker Johnrocker

Later on…

Bryce tempts Jackson

Saturday Night and the Eagle Nest was pumping, everyone inside buzzing after the Eagles big win this evening.

The newly formed secret group organised by Tiffany were all out tonight, working on a way to bring down Dixon and his friends, while Daniel and Tiffany focused on taking care of the well-being of Maple and Holly, the remaining members of the group were all inside the Eagle Nest. Mark and Jackson had the responsibility of tracking Dixon and seeing if they could find out which of his mates were in on this. Ali and Jess were also hanging around the area, looking to protect the other girls inside, trying to get them away from the secret place in general.

As for Miranda and Winter, they were on the look out for Z. It was with the hopes of having a female influence in getting Z to come to the police with what he knew about that infamous night.

As Mark and Jackson entered the sacred hang out spot, both grabbed a drink each, looking around the packed room at who else was here.

“I think we need to have some sort of plan tonight,” Mark spoke to his cousin.

“Like what? I don’t even know what we’re going to achieve with this to be honest,” he replied.

“We need to find out who else is involved with him, like I said, somebody here took that picture of Dixon and Holly, I’d like to find out just…”

Mark was cut off as Bryce interrupted him, wrapping his arm around Jackson’s shoulder. He had a great big grin on his face and was acting as if he was Jackson’s best friend or something.

“Jackson Rodgers,” he exclaimed, “The man of the evening… our fucking hero.”

Jackson had a bit of a smirk on his face that he couldn’t hide. There was no secret that he liked having someone pay him compliments and play to his ego. It’s exactly what Bryce had in mind tonight, intrigued to see what he could get him to do.

Inspecting the can of drink in Jackson’s hand, he gave it a light shake, “Not exactly cold is it, how long have you been sitting on this?”

He shrugged in response, looking at Mark as if he was going to answer for him. Mark just squinted his eyes, attempting to figure out why Bryce was so interested in Jackson, something he had never done.

“How about you finish that and I get you another one, no charge for the MVP,” Bryce said with another smirk.

“Well… can’t argue with that, can I?” Jackson said, skulling the rest of his drink.

Mark watched him guzzle it down like it was nothing, he had to admit that his younger cousin was probably a better drinker than him. It would still take him a fair bit to get drunk enough to do something stupid.

Bryce laughed as he patted Jackson on the back, taking no notice of Mark standing with them, “That a boy! Come on, let’s get you another drink.”

He had his arm around him as he tried to lead him away.

Mark looked on annoyed as Jackson followed him blankly, “Jackson,” he called out with no response at first.

“Jackson!” he yelled again.

The brown hair jock turned around with what appeared like a puzzled look on his face, “What?”

“Are we not going to sort out a plan…” he muttered quietly with tight lips so nobody would hear them.

“Yeah, yeah,” he replied, shrugging it off, “We’ll sort something out later… promise.”

Just like that, the two boys in their red varsity jackets walked off into the crowd. Mark looked on, very much annoyed. He didn’t know why Bryce was all of a sudden being so buddy buddy with his cousin but it started to make Mark think.

He wondered if Bryce really was tied into Dixon with all of this. The paranoia started to sink it, what if Bryce even knew about the secret group and meeting they had. Who knows? Someone like Miranda didn’t exactly have tight lips, what if she accidentally told someone that eventually ended in Bryce knowing.

Mark huffed, shaking his head as he worked out what to do.

During the same evening in the same venue, Ali and Jess walked around together, speaking with as many girls as they could, warning them quietly about how dangerous it could be on here for women.

They looked at a young freshman girl with big fake tits, standing in front of a boy, her arm stretched out, leaning against the wall. She had on a tiny black skirt and a top that barely hid those massive weapons.

“What about her?” Ali asked Jess, “Should we say something to her?”

Jess laughed, “Kayla?? Don’t even bother, the slut will already be organising a gangbang with half the team, forget worrying about her.”

“Well there isn’t really many left that we can talk to without creating a big scene,” Ali admitted.

They both peered around the room, looking at who else was here. Their job seemed to have already been completely just by the ratio of guys to girls.

“It’s a total cock fest,” Jess said, noticing which guys were checking them out.

“I know right, we probably should just leave,” Ali said, not feeling it tonight.

Jess shook her head before winking at some random college footballer on the other side of the room that she caught staring back at her. By her side, Ali noticed that look immediately.

“Jess, this place gives me the creeps knowing what’s happened here,” Ali told her, trying to get her attention back.

The brunette tease twisted her face, “Didn’t you hear me…Cock… fest.”

She said the word ‘cock’ very clearly and slowly, sounding it out for her friend.

“Come on Ali, you’ve been doing so well lately, we’ve got you back having fun, let’s have a little more…” she now encouraged her.

It may have been true and Ali was all for that but the idea of doing anything with the main culprits of the Eagle Nest was not in her best interest. She quickly shut down the talk of staying here, “Not here, not tonight Jess.”

Jess sighed, still keeping a close eye on a few guys in particular.

As the night continued, Mark was left on the outs as Bryce and his boys gathered around Jackson, getting him plastered.

As soon as he was finished with one drink, there was another in his hand before he could say or do anything. He didn’t know how much he had drunk but it was a lot of liquid in a short period of time. It made it impossible for Mark to speak with him in private, making the night a total waste.

The only thing he could do was watch where Dixon was and check if he was hanging around that same group. To his relief, he was with other guys and not Bryce and his main friends.

Seeing Dixon in the corner of the room, Mark took note with who he was sitting with. There was Derek Marotta who was seemingly floating around everywhere, mainly trying to chat up whatever chicks he could find inside there. Next to Dixon sat Justin Martin, a similar scrawny build, just taller in height. He came from a similar southern background to Dixon, just not with a broken family as his mullet wearing friend did.

On the other side of him was a blonde hair stocky boy named Leo Lennox. He was a senior at the college, quiet by nature but brutal by force. Mark had seen him knock other students off their feet just because they were in his pathway.

“What are you staring at?” a voice startled him.

He was shocked to turn around and see Z, the tall Asian boy standing right next to him.

“What the? What are you…” he muttered before being cut off.

“Do you want to explain to me why I have girls coming up to me tonight that I have never spoken to before, very interested in me all of a sudden, same girls that I see you hanging around with?” he started speaking down to him in a cross tone, “That wouldn’t have anything to do with trying to get me to testify now would it?”

Busted. Z was a little more witty that he would have given him credit for. The guy stood his ground, a little intimidating in front of Mark, especially considering his height.

He could have denied it, could have argued with him, pretended it wasn’t the case here but what was the point.

Mark was honest with him, “Why don’t you just fucking have the balls to do what’s right…”

“I told you why… you’ve got it leave it now… he gets beat at home, he’s had a really rough life, I’m not go…”

This time Mark cut him off, “I don’t really give a fuck, you better think about saying something before someone else does and you get in trouble for trying to hide this, you’ll be as guilty as he is.”

Z was doing everything he could to hold his intimidating pose over Mark but deep down, he was feeling terrible, embarrassed and ashamed. He was keeping a promise to someone that didn’t deserve to have their secrets kept hidden.

He didn’t say another word, just turning around and heading for the exit.

It was painful to know that whatever Miranda and Winter tried to get him to talk had failed. However, he didn’t have much time to think about that, he could see Bryce pressuring what looked like a very drunk Jackson into getting with someone.

Mark recognised her immediately. The same senior girl that Bryce passed on to him after Mark’s big touchdown game last year. Her name was Shay, a senior that was practically a part time stripper.

The girl was in front of him in minimal amounts of clothing, touching his knees, touching his legs as he sat on the couch, Bryce right next to him.

Mark had to move in to listen in.
