Only fear (Dark path)

As you're pulled through the portal to the other side, you watch as it grows smaller and smaller until it is nothing but a purple pinprick in the dark red sky. It blinks out of existence, leaving you with no connection to the only home you've ever known. You feel as if your very existence has been snuffed out as you look around in a panic at black ground, dark plants, and the red atmosphere. Whatever creature the tentacles are coming from is behind you, you still haven't seen the beast who has kidnapped you. Whatever it is, the tentacle is at least 20 ft long so it must be huge.

The tentacle around your waist grows tighter and you are twisted around to face the monstrosity. What you see before you is more terrifying than anything you could have met on quests in your home world. You are directly facing its giant maw, filled with shiny saber-like teeth larger than your entire body. The main mass is black and rotund, with hundreds of tentacles shooting out of it, becoming the dark purple of the ones gripping you at the ends.

You feel your mind being probed and pushed. You realize this thing can somehow form mind-links as one single word comes to the forefront of your thoughts - Void-dweller. It's not speaking directly to you; it only seems to be collecting data from your mind. Probing to see your hopes, dreams, and greatest fears. If you weren't already being held in place by the tentacle around you, you'd be frozen in fear. You feel your body start to shiver as more tentacles make their way towards you. You're not sure if the beast wants to eat you or worse, and you're not sure which you'd prefer.
