Your damp hair feels the cleanest it’s ever been, and Stump’s pajamas are extra comfy, even if they’re a little big for your height. Fortunately, Stump agreed to let you stay over while you wait for those **** to get out of your system. Even if this isn’t exactly your home, it’s far more comfortable! You’ve barely gone out at all, so those awful townspeople haven’t figured out you’re staying here yet. And hopefully you can leave before they realize you’re here and start making “housecalls”…

The professor stifles a laugh at your story. “It sounds like you’ve been having a lot of fun. Speaking of which, I wanted to talk to you about your journey to become a Pokemon Master and all that.”

Oh no, here it comes. She’s gonna ask you to stay. Normally it would be easy to shrug off her concerns, but what can you even say? You got captured by Team Rocket! Without her help, you’d still be trapped in that prison. Can you even argue that you should leave Rifure Town again?

Stump continues, “I know I’ve kept making a big fuss out of how dangerous it is out there, and after what we’ve been through, I now know it’s even worse than I though. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want you to just give up on all of this and stay here, in town. But… that’s not what would make you happy. The time we spent together made me realize that you’re a lot stronger now than when you left. And I expect you’ll become even stronger still. You’ve always been stubborn to a fault, so I’m sure you plan to keep going, despite knowing how dangerous the world is. That’s why… I won’t ask you to stay.”

“Professor, if really insist, I guess it would be for the be- wait what?” you ask, sitting in disbelief.

“I’m saying you’re free to continue your journey. Earning five badges is quite an accomplishment after all. But you’d better be more careful from now on, you hear me!?”

“Y-Yes Professor! Thank you!” you sputter. You show your gratitude by feasting on your remaining meal. You still aren’t sure what you did to deserve your very own Pokemon Professor to guide you on your journey, save you from Team Rocket, and even cook you homemade meals, but you’ll take it!

…Well, maybe you decided the whole “Pokemon Professor” thing on your own. She’s actually a physiolo… a psychiat… pediatr… doctor! But she’s the one who told you about pokemon trainers in the first place, and her past life as one, so she’ll always be a Pokemon Professor to you.
