Chapter 39 by yamidamian yamidamian

How goes the rest of the day?

Well enough after relocation.

Eventually, Ichika groggily recovered enough for playing with her to be amusing again-and so her new life for the foreseeable future resumed, her midsection jiggling with the active moments of its contents as I kept her holes full. However, I had a hard time really getting into it. My once vigorous motions were lazy and slow-more rubbing along than thrusting into. It was an odd sense of fatigue I hadn't truly felt since I'd gotten this new body. Letting my reserves of life and and mana top off seemed to help a bit, but still, the sense was still largely there.

And apparently, it wasn't just my feeling that was off-Akira felt the need to express concern when he saw me-as much as his surprise over the bounty I had readied for him. Apparently, I looked wilted. I hadn't observed my own body particularly closely beyond what the God's Eye told me, so it had escaped my notice. But with it in attendance, I had to realize he was right. My vegetable portions has a slight brown to it, and the tendrils had an uncomfortable lack of glisten to them.

Akira appears to have set himself up as my go-between for now, as he tells me what Daisuke had found. instead of the gruff guy directly coming to see me. Apparently, this caldera had once been a rather large lake before it was drained to build the place we're now besieging-thus, there really isn't much to note. Hard to dig through or grow anything on, and the earth spirits had agreements higher up about keeping the latter. When I asked if the shaman had gone 'up' to investigate, I only got some vague non-answer about being 'above his grade'. For a moment, I consider attempting to petition Orchid, before instead deciding it would be more impressive if I kept as much under my metaphorical hat as possible.

Whatever. I had more important things to focus on. Like making sure Akira got his fruit, and I got my brood. So, I let myself get mobile, and had him lead me towards a nearby water source. Fortunately, the river that supplied the camp wasn't too far off, so I soon got to make my new spot by the riverbed-and feel greatly invigorated as all the fluids I'd lost playing a blood price. Just in time, as Ichika's body clenches as the time for the first of my many spawn here come into this world. Small and green, these goblins grow up fast even by monster standards-all the better to compensate for their weakness by reproducing at rates only exceeded by specialized creatures like me.

Combined with the unnaturally potency of my seed, and it's little surprise as they rapidly progress to maturity within the day-fed by the products of my Fruiting Body, now that I was feeling better, and their mother's production-though they all but came to blows as they clambered for the latter, with her only having two teats to drink from. Some swats to their plush backsides to dissuade them-or a more focus round of rutting into them to distract them, however, did a good enough job at keeping the peace among the harem forming within my branches. By the end of the day, all were gestating the next generation. The realization of the extent of the poor soil fertility had **** a change of plans, but ultimately things were proceeding.

What else will I be up to?
